Surgeon Testimonial

Phillip Hornbostel, M.D.
Dr. Hornbostel is amazing, he is very detail oriented and has an open door policy. He gives you his personal cell in case you have any issues after office hours and never makes you feel like you have a stupid question.rnMost of his office staff is wonderful, Ask for Margie, she is his right hand and his wife.rnThe only disapointment I had was, I had a gallstone before the surgery and he does not remove the gallbladder with the RNY. rnSo that is another surgery I have to look forward to. He just prefers to stay on the side of caution and do one procedure at a time.

9 months post op and still at my goal weight
posted on 10/21/08 10:07 pm
It has been an amazing ride. I am 9 months post op and I am at my goal weight. The weight has only fluctuated 1 lb up or down.

I have some excess skin, but it isn't as bad as I thought it would be, which is a blessing and a curse.  A blessing for the obvious reasons of not having rashes and moisture issues. But the curse is because there is no significant issues, making plastic surgery not an option. So....I have one more goal to accomplish and that is to build the muscles back up and tighten the skin naturally.

As much as the skin is disheartening, I would rather deal with that than fat any day.  I am healthier than I have been in years and I have the energy and attitude that keeps me going.
