    Hi Heather. Hope all is going well for you. I had my surgery the same day as you. Maybe we can chat and share notes. Good luck.

    Heather, I thought about you all day on Thursday. I am behind on posting. I pray everything went well, and that your recovery is quick. Hope to see you at the next Support Meeting. ~~Kristina

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~My Story~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My name is Heather, I'm 32 years old and reside in Dallas, TX. I am in insurance sales and am recently married.
I have been overweight since high school. After many years of being on a weight roller coaster I have decided to end the craziness once and for all! I had Lap Band on July 12th 2007. I am very excited to get on the path to permanant weight loss. My husband has been super suportive throughout the entire process. I am blessed to have a partner who has been so understanding. Especially since it will be a big financial undertaking due to my insurance not paying for the surgery. I am calling it my new Corolla! Lol!
2 Months Out
on September 25, 2007 11:54 am
Wow! It has been a minute since I've added to my blog! I am now 10 weeks out. I'm down 23 pounds and 25 inches. I feel so much better already and am thrilled to have lost! I work out 4x week and eat healthy.
I co-founded a support group with a fellow OH member, GottaLuvAve. This month will be our second meeting. Out first meeting had a good turn out with 8 people. I am excited about building the group and all of the fun things we have planned for future meetings.
6 Days Post Op
on July 18, 2007 8:40 am
Wow! What a journey the past 6 days have been! I was ready for the lack of food but not for the pain and adjustment. I wish I would have been more educated prior to the surgery. My mornings have been pretty good so far. Yesterday I regurgitated  a few hours after eating some oatmeal. The nurse thinks I prob over ate. I had 1/2 cup, next time I will try 1/4 cup. I was miserable all day after that. I am eating a small amt of something mushy for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Trying to get my protein shakes in between. I have gotten 60 grams in a day once so far. I'm supposed to get it in daily. I am taking everything on a daily basis!
As of this morning I am down 7 lbs since surgery! That makes feeling so crappy these last few days a little better!
The Night Before My New Life
on July 11, 2007 4:08 pm
My surgery is at 7:30 in the morning! Yea! It's finally here! I am ready to get it over with. My fiance and I are meeting friends at my favorite restaurant (Saltgrass) tonight for my "last supper". Good bye to eating until I bust!
Count down
on June 29, 2007 7:52 am
Two weeks until the big day! I am trying to get my mind wrapped around the thought of 5 wks on a liquid diet!  Not sure how that's going to work out for me! I will definitley follow the plan and hope to not go crazy while I'm at it.
I feel like I am going to be reborn in a sense. My old way of life will be no more. I have been a serious foodie all of my life and enjoy food very much. I feel like I won't be able to enjoy it like I used to. Maybe that's just my evil brain working against me.
Regardless I know in my heart this is the best plan for me. I am currently 100 lbs over weight and have the energy of an 90 yr old. I am too young to be as tired as I constantly am. I'm sick and tired of being tired!!!
