She is AMAZING! I've known her since 2001 when she was at Lenox Hill where I had my RNY with a different surgeon. When I came to an info session in 2010, seeking a revision, the first thing she said to me, was "I remember you" and then when I told her how much I gained back she replied "you are still beautiful". Worried about what I was to do, DS, RNY-RNY or a BOB, she guided me thru the process to the BOB. She knew my weaknesses (wine) and my strengths (exercise) and gave me the information and knowledge to make a educated decision. I went with the BOB. When my Mom, who was totally supportive with the RNY in 2002, objected, Dr. K spoke to her on the phone, answering all her questions. The night before my surgery, I spoke with her on the phone and she reassured me of my decision. Today, I am 4 mos out, have restriction back and down over 40lbs, and I am 16lbs to goal. Dr. Kurian has been as advertised as I knew she would be.

    Happy 3rd Anniversary Hottie!!! Has it been 3 years? You have been through 3 lifetimes in the past 3 years. Know that I am always proud of you for kicking this surgery's butt, and mine too when I was being wimpy! We have to get together soon! Miss Ya, XOXOX Gabriela

I need a job

Its been 6+ months since I was laid off, I am starting to go crazy! On a side note, I've been interviewing a TON as of March but only 1 offer which I turned down.  I scored 5 new interviews this week and next but I am running out of time.  I have to move home June 1st as I am out of money.  Which means, my apt needs to go to realtor to be rented by May 1st or so.  Thank God the rental market is AMAZING in NYC and I can get TOP DOLLAR and someone else can pay my mortgage.  Please let me give something that suits me soon!

New Goal - 150lbs

So, I saw my surgeon today, I am the thinnest I've been since 2006. I am at 192 on her scale (with clothes), 191 on mine.  Post-RNY, I teetered between 183-189.  SOOOOOO CLOSE!  I am in 10s and 12s, all my old clothese fit and some are now too big!  My peliminary goal was 175 but after talking to Dr. K today, I think I maybe able to get to 150lbs.  My goal of my 1 year anniversary is 175lbs by June 23rd.  Doable?  yes, Hard - defintly.  I need to lose 17lbs in  2.5 mos. I did lose a few this week and 9 since the beg of Feb.  Wait and see!  But, I worked out 5 days this week and its the consistency that is helping. I am going to add weights next week, so, I think this will start moving the scales a lot!

Goal is to be 191 by Friday. Next to impossible but stranger things have happened! When my scale moves, it moves in clumps.
