Solid Foods

 I’m still trying to get the hang of things with solid foods I picked up something’s from the supermarket listed below

This is kind of the things I will eat in a week the only thing that might be a problem is that I don’t measure or weight my food I try to eat 3 or 4 times a day and when I get full I stop I’m not sure if this is good or bad but that’s what I have been doing. 

Also I have a bad habit in my mind when I was on Atkins diet makes me afraid to eat crabs so I try to stay away from them my NUT however wants me to add good crabs into my diet but I just keep away I don’t want to get in the habit for eating bread all the time also I have been keeping away from fruits and vegetables

Does anyone have any ideas for me or any other foods you might recommend for me to try?

Ground turkey
Beans
Chicken Hot Dogs 
Roast Beef 
Turkey
Eggs
Sugar free ice pops
Greek yogurt
Sugar free Jell-O
Swiss cheese
Polly-O Mozzarella
Tuna
Cottage cheese
Ricotta Cheese

I'm Home From Surgery

I'm Home From Surgery

So my surgery for my VSG was on Monday and I got home today Wednesday everything went well i'm just trying to get use to eating now just working on soup and water

just wanted to give everyone an update ill be back on tomorrow I need to get some rest

Monday - Tomorrow is my VSG Surgery

So tomorrow is the big day I have to get to the hospital at 9:30 am I don't know if I'm going to be able to sleep tonight I’m excited nervous worried I guess just like any other person that had this surgery

I had a good weekend with my family and friends at Atlantic City for my birthday I also had my last normal size meal

Today I’m on the clear pre op diet I had water popsicles Jell-O and chicken broth and after 12am no more food or drinking until after surgery

I’ll try to keep everyone posted thank you all for you emails and encouraging words and prayers they help me a lot I will most likely have my blackberry with me if you want to send me an email or a message on OH I defiantly appreciate it you all have been great.

My Story

So I'm going to see 3 doctors on Wednesday 12/09/09 I'm thinking I'm going to ask for lap band but people keep telling my the sleeve is better I pretty sure I will get approved for either one I'm just a little nervous about the whole thing I guess ill just keep taking all the step I need to do and see what happens in the end I just don't want to do all this and gain it back in the end that would make me just go crazy
