Surgeon Testimonial

Anthony Terracina, M.D.
I first me Dr. T at the seminar that I attended and I thought to myself that he was very straight forward and honest about everything including his stat's. My PCP had told me that if there was anyone that she would choose to do RNY it would be him, which is why I chose him. I was completely impressed with his mannerism and how he really took time to explain everything. His practice is extremely busy, but what can you say because he is really fantastic. People seek him out to be their surgeon from all over the country. His office staff is really nice but they are very busy. Sometimes it takes a while to get a call back but they are super people. The after care is great! Each appointment he really takes the time to talk with you and answer every question. I had a complication that required a 2nd surgery and I must say that he was just as wonderful as he was with the 1st surgery. I was able to see him weekly after the 2nd procedure and he is really just an awesome person. He addressed everything with me prior to surgery and at his class. I knew going into this what the risks would be and I knew that I was in the best of hands. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate him a 10. Hands down, he is really a FABULOUS surgeon. His surgical competence is phenominal and his bedside manners are excellent!

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
I didn't realize it at the time but I was really depressed. The hardest part for me was losing the weight but gaining it all back and then some and going through this for years.

Discovering Me
Life's journey

Yay me!
on March 31, 2010 8:38 am
Wow...well where has the time gone? It's been a while since I last posted a blog entry but boy have things been shook up, turned over, upside down and now right side up! I am feeling FANTASTIC! I have separated from my husband, moved in with my mother, and have changed so many things in my life. It feels so good to do things for myself, I actually colored my hair, bought new shoes, new dresses, had my nails done and doing things for me. This past Saturday, I attended a Christian Women's Conference about The steps in our Journey. It was an uplifting, eye opener. Yes, there will be those who criticize that I moved away from my husband, but it's something I had to do for my daughter and I, it was the safest thing for me to do. Besides, that our home was put up For Sale. I just have to say God is Good, God is Great!
I have been down and out and dealing with so much for so long. Even in my despair, I found encouragement and felt uplifted by my spirituality. In the last 6 months I had faced my husbands gambling problem, which caused us to lose our home, I had faced my WLS journey, my daughter at a new day school and I have renewed my faith in myself, and I am working on relying on God more. My next move is to work on my career change.  I will have to finish this blog later.
