Tuesday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench! ~ JudyAnne

Two months since surgery - life is good

I'm feeling actually pretty good these days - down 52 pounds and there are parts of my body I don't recognize!    My eating is very slow.....I don't tolerate animal proteins very well, so I get most of my intake from a combination of one shake a day, some yogurt, a serving a soy crisps, refried beans (my lifesaver!!!) and various forays with fish.    I was tolerating flounder well from about week 5 until I ate some leftover fish from the day before and it was very heavy.  So, I'm not rushing into adding too many foods as I've gotten better at assessing how the density of foods is going to effect me.

My health issues have almost all resolved.   I was on 8 meds pre-op - and am now only on prevacid.  That in itself is a miracle for me.

I began to work out with a pilates machine - including their new rebounder - and it's helping me to tone and get some cardio in.  Love that machine.

I had an energy surge at about 6 weeks - coincided with warmer weather - so I was working in the garden, painting in the house - that kind of thing......it was great !  The weather has since gotten quite cold and I'm feeling it though so I'm waiting for spring to reappear.

The OH website is a multiple daily visit for me and I've learned a great deal from the wonderful folks here.  I do find myself getting veyr frustrated with people who post they are three weeks out and eating chips and dip.......I so understand the craving - but I'm grateful my tolerances have been few.      I'm working on finding some pictures - preop.....I never wanted to have my picture taken so I don't have any......and now I wish I did.    Life is good.   Susan
