Almost there

I am now in my last month of the 3 month program, I have one more visit to the nutritionist and the exercise physcologist.  I gort my clearanc eletter from the cardiologist, I had an appointment with Phycologist but when i got the appointment he said he ds nt atke my insurance, but over the telephone they took my insurance, so I would need to pay out of pocket for the evealutationa total of $385 fo everything including the report.  So i think i found someone who takes my insurance, she took all my information to get preapprval from the insurance first.

My primary care physician has given his ok, he will get his letter together after we get all the letters together so he get all the facts.

I am getting a little excited, for a minute there it was like i am never going to get is done.  but now i can appreciate why o have to go thru so much. I can appreciate how and why my eating habits need to change, again this is only a tool  I have already started making healthier choices.

I realize it's okay to park far away from the garage and walk.  My husband seems to have come around withthe idea that I am going to move forward.

Now I am just ready 4 a change .  I have never been to so many appoints in such short period of time.  So hopefuly within the next 4 weeks I will have a APPROVED status from the  AETNA  insurance company.  Stay tuned

Helo everyone!!!
It's a beautifual Saturday after about 85 degrees, I am already cleaned out the car, I wantd to go somnewhere but  I think it's just too hot.

Anyway thank everyone for all the comments about Aetna, I was able to confirm the 6mos or 3 mos multi-discplinary.  I will be using the 3 mos prgram especially for the most part I am paying out of pocket, this involves monthly visits with Nurtritionst and exercise phsycologist, I will also meet with the PCP just so they can have documetaion as well.

So I am not so upset and I am back on track with the 3 mos program.

Well Hello eveyone..I have oficially started the process for my WLS (RNY) I had my lab work done, at first I thought it was too soon but a week later I get a call from PCP  sts I had abnorlmal bllod work, states I have h - pylori, and I need to take these 8 pills a day for 14 days, it really is makng a big difference for me.

On May 30th, I have my nutrition and exercise evaluation ],  I am excited but a little nervous.  Then I have my pschy evaluation on June 16th, so I am well on my way,  I just want to make sure I do everything right so I can get an approval.  I am glad that AETNA is making me do the 3 month program before they would even consider the WLS,

My Story

Well here's my story.....I am married woman with 3 children all girls I might add.  They are the love of my life, however I have been overwieght my entire adult life.  When I say I have tried everything to loose weight I mean EVERYTHING.  I wll be the 40 this year, and it time for a change...They always say

"You get the same results if you keep doing the same thing" So i if I try something different I will get differnt results.  I praying this tool will allow me to take a new journey and start a new beginning

I have new dreams, hopes and aspirations.  I would like to go tot he amusement park with my family without fat swollen ankles, and beeing too hot becaue I am affraid to wear a pair of shorts because my thighs are too fat and they rub together. I want to go in public with my husband and not have people looking at the two of wondering what does he want with that fat girl.

I took the first step to a new me.

April 19, 2008  I attended the Bariatric Seminar, it was an eyeopener this tool can really work for me, please allow me the chance to take advantage of it.    Waiting for appointment withn surgeon.

April 21, I called insurance company (Aetna) to confirm the surgery would be covered, and yes it isCOVERED.

April 22..I  filled out the 10 page packet about my life medical history took a full clothed picture of myself and mailed back to the Doctor's office.

April 23 ...I am going to sit tight and wait to hear my next move should be.
April 26...Still waiting
