Well, here it is in June, and I am still awaiting my surgery date, insurance authorization, and beginning diet...
I am not discouraged, though, I have found some GREAT help on this site, and look forward to continued conversations with my friends!
I spoke w/ the nurse today, and the ins co has had my info since June 17th, so tomorrow I will begin calling to see what their decision is on the topic! I've called before, and I have met all criteria, so I should be good to go!
Just as an FYI, I had to have the sleep study, as I mentioned before, undergo cardiac testing and be cleared by my hematologist, as I do have a bleeding disorder and will require Fresh Frozen Plasma when I undergo the operation. It's common for me when I have surgical procedures, so I'm not afraid of it! *smile*
I'm just very excited about getting started. I have total familial support, and cannot wait to have this tool in place to help me in my efforts.
I had a baby at 40 (April 2007), lost all plus 10 pounds of my baby weight, then underwent some "postpartum depression" where the MD prescribed me some meds where the first side effect was WEIGHT GAIN! I explained that I could not afford not ONE pound, and he assured me that it would not happen... Well, now I'm 50 pounds up! We laugh about it because I do feel better, and I am "all better" but it really has got me down to be this size. I wanna play more and do fun stuff with this little guy and with my 16 year old daughter... Yes, I have 2 kids, this far apart! ha!
Well, I'm gonna go for now. Hopefully tomorrow I will have more news on my future. The MD is ready, the nurse is ready, I have done all I need to do, and all I have to wait on is the insco! Pray hard that the results will be positive!!!
Hang in there, everybody!
