Surgeon Testimonial

Vishnudas Panemanglore MD
I first met Dr. P @ a conference that we had to go to before anything else could happen in the surgery. I thought he was a kind, smart, safisticated gentleman. Once I got to work one on one with Dr. P he was very laid back and has a great sense of humor, but don't let all that fool you because he will tell you how it is and when he knows your coming up with excuses too. He has great caring office staff who is always there to help you. I can't say that there is anything I didn't like about Dr. P. Dr. P made sure you understood everything about 10 times before surgery would even happen and even before surgery went over everything again. He is very precise about everything because he wants to make sure your safe at all costs. I find his work to be over a 10 on my scale and would recomend him to anyone!

Hi, My name is Paula. I choose to become apart of the obesityhelp hoping I can meet new friends to help go through this new part of my life. Not saying I don't have friends haha but they haven't been through gastric bypass like I have so they don't know how to help at times. Best of luck to everyone in their journey!

Please feel free to email me at [email protected] if you wish to chat!

Thanks everyone for your support...

Kinda Feel It, But Don't See It!
March 22, 2010 12:55 am
Why is it that I kinda can feel the 23 lbs difference that I lost, but I just don't see it. Will I always think I'm fat? How do I get over that? I ask my husband I beautiful? does it look like I lost weight?  ugh...just 7 more lbs and I will be down 30, I count in 10's this way I dont get discouraged. So March 30, April 40, May 50, June 60, July 70, August 80, Sept 90, Oct 100 and then Nov my 2nd wedding annv I'll be able to fit in a beautiful dress and maybe celebrate it the right way for once!

It is day 6 since I've had my gastric bypass surgery on March 3rd, 2010 and I still don't have the feeling to eat or drink. Now don't get me wrong I have feeling/sensation of soreness, but that hungry and thirst is gone. It is very scary knowing that this was all a mind game. Every once in awhile I'll get a little rumble and then eat (meaning my broth) and BOOM it's gone. Food musta have just been a comfort then because I'm starting not even to care about some of the things I use to eat. I took my boys to Burger King the other day for a quick treat and felt good not getting myself anything. We got home and they ate their chicken nuggets and fries. As I was picking up their mess I was tempted to eat some of the fries and outta know where I was like nah...It was the best feeling in the world.

My Story

So I am your typical chubby kid who just didn't ever grow out of that phase. Now at times it was cute, but as I got older it turned into a nightmare. I never was really mad fun of about my weight so I can't say that is the reason why I have looked into gastric bypass. Just think that over the years I had this person inside me trapped and I never thought I was capable of doing the right things to let her out. I see myself differently in the mirror then others. Two sides actually. My internal view is a very small beautiful girl who is healthy and thin. Then theres the external view of a small cute but chubby girl. I've been to plenty of doctors and really don't have health problems so I can't complain. I will complain about the fact I would walk and get outta breath though. I am now a 27 year old mother of two boys who I need to be there for. I am ready to unlock the women I see internally!
