I will be wishing you all the best today as you begin your WLS journey. I'll keep you in my thoughts & prayers, and I'm warming a spot here on the Loser's Bench for you! Take care...

Well, your spot on the bench is nicely waxed, so you'll be sliding on, and right on down, in no time! Safe journey, see you on the flip side!!

2 month update
on March 11, 2009 9:19 am
Well I'm doing pretty good for 2mts out my weight this morning was 285 which means i'm down 58lbs, 25 pre-op which I lost when I was on the liquid diet so a pound is a pound and I count every last one. I must say that I am really starting to feel good now, at first I was a little overwelmed with trying to figure every thing out. Now   I'm mostly very greatful for the chance  after so many long years to finaly have CONTROL over food!!!! It takes some getting used to but with such great control I can make better food choices for my little pouch. MY daughter calls it(my pouch) the alien because it does make some strange noises. When I'm full I usually will hic-up or burp and now I can really tell when I'm full, and feel satisfied just like when I was full pre-op. If I loose eg. 5lbs in 5 days I will feel a little weak for a day or so, and on the weaker days am a little more hungry I don't worry about this because there are also days when I could care less if I even ate. MY daily routen at 2 mts is get up have a cup of de-calf, then 8oz. of 1% milk with 1 pack of carnation instant breakfast and a scoup of proten apx. 30 gr.of proten. lunch today was a small bowl of pea soup and a couple pieces of cheese, some days I will have tuna on a piece of hanover rye which is tosted well and can eat 1/2 to 3/4 of that depending on the day, for supper I will have a small amount of what ever I made for the family. Snacks I have yougart, pudding, fruit, russel stover no suger added gronala bar, popsicle SF, jello etc. MY exercise is apx. 30 min. a day on the treadmill, I walk now at a fast rate and also swing and punch my arms, this really seems to get the old heart a pumping. I like doing this and feel bad if I miss a day, I have lost 50.5 inches since my heavist of 343 and my skin so far is shrinking with me. People are starting to notice the differance in me, some days I feel like I can see it and others I look in the mirror and see the same person however my clothes are telling me that I am definilty shrinking because I have gone from a 5x tops to a 2x which is getting baggy and a 5xor 6x bottom to a 3x or size 20. I will post some pic as soon as I get them printed off, I can see a differance in the pic. but not in my head yet!!! It will catch up soon. ALL IS GREAT AND VERY PLEASED SO FAR!!!
