I'm a 50 y.o., divorced mom of 3 grown children and 1 adorable grandson. I have steadily gained weight since my separation and then divorce.  I'm at my highest weight ever of 260.  I've researched the lap band for a year.  I have to have 3 months of doctor supervised diet.  This is my first month (October '06).  I'd like to get everything complete by the end of December and have my surgery mid January '07.  I'm rather shy on the boards, but I read them every day.  I'm looking forward to being on the losing side. I'll post a before pic as soon as I figure it out.
