Surgeon TestimonialAlfonso Torquati M.D.Dr. Torquati was VERY knowledgeable. He made me feel very at ease with the surgery, he was friendly, clear, and confident. I would HIGHLY recommend him. I have had no problems after surgery, and my scars are so tiny and light even I am amazed!!! The aftercare program at Vanderbilt is great, I also went to Vanderbilt for my 6 month diet pre-op and that program is just as amazing!!!

My name is Jacqui, I'm 24, I started my WL journey on May 18, 2006. I was 5'2 and 270 lbs. I lost more than half my body weight is just about a years time. This surgery was amazingly sucessful for me! At 14 months post op, I found out I was pregnant, with my first baby. I was so VERY excited. I am now healthy and happy enough to give my kids the kind of mother that they deserve. I had my baby girl, Lilly in 2008. I love bein a mommy! I love hearing from you guys, I have a myspace, so add me... www.myspace.com/joeandjacqui
My Baby, Lilly on June 22, 2008 8:16 pm
It's been a long time since I have posted, but I had my baby Lillian Arabella ( Lilly for short ) I am SO HAPPY she is here. Being a mother is more wonderful than I could have ever dreamed. It is also more tiring, but no matter how I feel I keep going and take care of her the best I can. She is three months old now, and we're still not sleeping through the night, she gets up every four to five hours ( on a good night ) and eats. I am blessed to be able to stay home with her full time, but even though I don't work outside the house, I'm still sooooooo tired!!! It has gotten so much better as the weeks go on, so I know I will be getting more rest soon!!!
As far as my weight goes I gained a total of 38 pounds during my pregnancy! That is way more than I wanted to gain but, it was worth it to have my baby healthy. I'm still working on getting back down to my goal. It was surely worth it though. My daughter is so beautiful & healthy, I would do it all again!

Almost 25 weeks pregnant!!! on December 3, 2007 10:58 am
It feels like I was peeing on the stick only yesterday, lol. But like everything time flies and I am already almost 25 weeks!!! I am doing much better with my eating the crazy feeling of starvingness has seemed to have pasted ( for the time being ) I have gained 17 pounds!!! I'm ok with it, I weigh 152 and I'm more than halfway done with this thing, I know I will loose it after the pregnancy. My doc says I'm good to go and on track!!! It doesn't seem like WLS is affecting things with the pregnancy like I thought it would!!!
