Surgeon Testimonial

Matthew Brengmanm M.D., F.A.C.S.
I think Dr. B is a GREAT Doc. He takes his time with you, listens to you and doesn't rush you at your visits. He explained everything to me and my mother and is very upfront about things you should or shouldn't be doing. I had the(VSG)Sleeve done on 4-23-12 and I'm 2 weeks post-op. I'm doing well and he has me on the right path. I would recommend him to anyone that is thinking about having WLS. However the office has changed their phone system and that really sucks and most time going into his office you have to wait past your apt time but then again who doesn't wait at any other office!

I eat what ever I want, when I want. Its pretty sad when I think about it as I didn't use to be this way before I had my daughter 12.5 years ago:( I have just been unhappy with myself for so long that I kind of feel it will never change or be any different. I guess that's why I have never really got anywhere with dieting. I know I need to do this for me and I need to be Healthy for my daughter so I can watch her grow up. She is my Whole World and I have got do do this so Ill be here with her many, many, many more years!

APPROVED! 4-23-12
on February 29, 2012 4:19 pm
I'm Approved!!! I'm sooo excited and not really scared.  Ill probably be a basket case by the time it all comes around.  I'm just worried about how my 12 yr old daughter is going to handle this.  Shes scared.  We have watched things on TV about weight loss surgeries and she started to cry :(... I told her its going to be OK.  I love her more than Life itself and I'm doing this really for me but also for my family and for her, she just doesn't understand that.  I want to be here for her for as long as I can and I have to have FAITH that I will be OK and get through this and be Happy and Healthy!  I've heard so many people say they would do it all over again and that its the best thing they have ever done for their self. I cant wait to be on the LOSER BENCH!

#6 Apt. with PCP
on February 16, 2012 12:28 pm
Well the 6Th month waiting period is gone, now the Ins. Co waiting period begins!  Here's my weights to follow the 6Th mos of doing no exercise and eating what I kind of wanted:  Mo. 1-335, Mo. 2-332, Mo. 3-334, Mo. 4-340, Mo.5-345, Mo. 6-341. So I've  gained 6 lbs in Six Mo. SAD! I know I would have lost a lot more weight if I had exercised more but If that was the case I wouldn't be getting the VSG! Some people will have issues with that and some will understand. I know myself and I know I need help...  Surgeons office said one submitted to the Ins. Co It usually takes about 2 weeks depending on the Ins. Co.  They are backed up about 46days some I'm looking at maybe Mid April! Spring Break or my Birthday... lol

Follow-up Bladder Scope
on February 2, 2012 7:02 am
Well Jan. 30, 2012 I saw Dr. Miller again and he did a Bladder Scope.  It did hurt, but I made it through it... He said he tested me for all kinds of stuff like cancer cells and all my tests came back NEG Thank God! So he said to come back in 6mos and I guess he would test my urine again.  So one more apt to go with the PCP Doc and then I can submit my paperwork to Ins. Co. WooHOO!!!
