Surgeon Testimonial

I think Dr. B is a GREAT Doc. He takes his time with you, listens to you and doesn't rush you at your visits. He explained everything to me and my mother and is very upfront about things you should or shouldn't be doing. I had the(VSG)Sleeve done on 4-23-12 and I'm 2 weeks post-op. I'm doing well and he has me on the right path. I would recommend him to anyone that is thinking about having WLS. However the office has changed their phone system and that really sucks and most time going into his office you have to wait past your apt time but then again who doesn't wait at any other office!

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
I eat what ever I want, when I want. Its pretty sad when I think about it as I didn't use to be this way before I had my daughter 12.5 years ago:( I have just been unhappy with myself for so long that I kind of feel it will never change or be any different. I guess that's why I have never really got anywhere with dieting. I know I need to do this for me and I need to be Healthy for my daughter so I can watch her grow up. She is my Whole World and I have got do do this so Ill be here with her many, many, many more years!

Post-Op Class 3-22-12
on March 22, 2012 3:42 pm
Well I had my post-op class today.  It was soooo much info I don't know weather I'm coming or going.  I thought I knew what to do post-op and on the LSD but I'm a bit confused.  I will have to call again to clarify the protein post-op 2 weeks.  Other than that it was just long 4 hours to be Exact.  My Mom went with me which was great.  She has been so sweet in this whole process and I Thank her very much for supporting me.  We  I guess I will be reading some of my Pre and Post-op Handbook tonight.  32 more days to go!Cant Wait!!

Hoping...

I cant wait to have the Sleeve.   I'm hoping it can save me and give me the TOOL I need,   I'm so tired of the way I feel and look.   I'm hoping that the surgery will allow me to do and feel the way I want and need.   It will allow me to do the things I cant do now.  Tie-in my shoes in comfort,  wearing my rings and watch,  shopping,  theme park rides with my daughter,  not always thinking about being the biggest in the room,  sometimes wondering if there will be enough room to sit at the booths in restaurants,  BEING HEALTHLY!!  not to mention my ankles swell,  legs ake,  hips and back hurts  and I'm tired ALL THE TIME!  Come on Sleeve 33 more days!

Not The Easy Way Out!
on March 1, 2012 9:17 am
I am VOLUNTARILY having 85% of my stomach removed on April 23, 2012. I don't expect some people to understand or comprehend, nor do I expect those people  to understand what kind of courage it takes for me to make this decision. I just know that it is deserving of incredible respect and courage.  It is NOT the EASY WAY OUT!
