Surgeon TestimonialKristen Hardcastle M.D., F.A.C.S.My first impression of Dr. Hardcastle was "wow, she is thin and tiney and I don't know how she is going to do my surgery". She sat down and talked with me and seemed very confident of what her expectations where for me and herself as the physician. That was really reassuring. The office staff have been very pleasant to me. It is never hectic when I arrive for my appointments and I don't have a long wait time. Any of my many needs that I have had since the surgery with filling out paper work for FMLA or Short term disablity have been done with no questions asked and I never imagined that I would need all of the forms I have had to have filled out but each time I present them with one it gets filled out and returned to me ASAP. That is really great because I know of Doctor offices that charge you for everything they fill out and I have not been charged a thing. I will see my doc next week for my aftercare program and I am excited about that as well. I feel that I chose a very qualified and skillful doctor and practice and that when someone choses a doctor they feel a bond with that person. There needs to be a feeling that your doctor is going to do the best thing for you and that you can count on him or her to continue to see you through this process.

Hello Everyone,
How are you guys? Well, I am absolutely fine and doing great. I am not where I thought I would be at a year and half out but I am a lot further along than I would have been with out the surgery. I just thank God for that. I will try to post some pictures but it has been so long I may have forgotten how. A lot has happened since my last post, and I am engaged to be married this Oct. So, needless to say I am very busy now.
I hope to hear from you soon, until the next time stay blessed.

hello everyone,
It has been a long time. Most of that time has been very stressful. As I have shared so many times before I had been stuck in a bad place not loosing any weight for about six months. Mostly all my fault, not eating right, making bad decisions and not focusing on what I had worked so hard to have.
Needless to say I went to the doctor on Feb. 13 and got a fill. I had wonderful restriction, it was what I was needing evidently because I could eat small portions and be full. I would only need to eat something once a day and I was satisfied. Of course trying to keep up with the h2o and protein needs would drive me crazy because I felt like I didn't need all that. So, I had to figure out what worked best for me and still try to get in enough protein because I be darned if I am going to walk around slim and looking like a dried up prune in the face. That motivates me to at least get in the protein.
Well today I was back in the doctors off ice after about 5 weeks and I have lost a total of 13 lbs. since my last visit. I was extremely happy and the doctor agreed that at this point I didn't need another fill. The good thing about this is on Feb. 16, I was in a car accident and taken out of work and could no longer go to the gym. So I basically lost the weight by just controlling what I ate. So that makes me feel as though once I start to exercise again, I will drop more pounds and that is inspiring to me.
I will let you know how it goes. I am hoping to update some pictures as well in the next few weeks. Until then stay blessed.

HELLO EVERYONE,
WELL YESTERDAY WAS MY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY. I AM DOING GREAT. I HAVEN'T HAD ANY FILLS SINCE EARLIER THIS YEAR, IN FACT I CAN'T REMEMBER WHEN MY LAST FILL WAS. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY MAJOR WEIGHT LOSS AS WELL BUT I AM OKAY WITH THAT. I WILL BE HEADING IN NEXT WEEK FOR FILL, I REALLY NEED ONE AT THIS POINT. OTHER THAN THAT THINGS ARE GREAT. I FINISHED SCHOOL ON DEC. 11TH AND I WILL MARCH DOWN THE ISLE IN MAY AT THE OFFICAL GRADUATION. I AM SO GLAD THAT IS OVER WITH AND NOW I CAN GET BACK TO ME, AND CONCENTRATE ON MY DIET. PRAY FOR ME AS I WILL CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR YOU ALL.
LOVE YA!

Well it has been a little while since I last updated. To keep things simple I will first start out by saying, I have continued to work on my running. I am now able to run at least ten minutes without falling out. I am able to run a complete mile without stopping and gasping for breath. That is a wonderful thing to me. As far as the weight loss, it is still where it has been. Nothing happening. I know sometimes I don't make all the right food choices but I have been really working my tail off and the scale doesn't move. I believe it is because I am gaining muscle but I am not sure. Everyone who see's me seems to think that I am still losing weight but I know the scale hasn't changed. Then they say you must be losing inches, well I want to know when does inches turn into pounds? Can someone answer that question?
Other than that, things have been moving along. I am now in my last semester of school. I will be finished in Dec....Thank God.. if I can just make it thourgh. Dec. will be a big month for me because of my Bandiversary date (12th) and finishing school on the 13th....yeah.. I am so excited.
Okay, until the next time stay blessed.

OK. I DID IT.....I OFFICALLY RAN FRIDAY AND SAT. I MADE NO EXCUESS AND JUST WENT AND DID IT. NOW, I DIDN'T RUN A MARATHON NOR DID I RUN TO BEAT ANYONE, BUT I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO RUN....I MEAN AT ONE TIME I WAS ABLE TO RUN FAST BUT NOT LONG. NOW I WANT TO RUN LONG (FAR). THANK GOD, I WAS ABLE TO RUN ONE MILE OVER THE TWO DAYS... NOW, I KNOW FOR YOU ADVID RUNNERS THAT IS NOT MUCH, BUT FOR ME IT IS GREAT. I HAVE WALKED AND RAN OVER THE TWO DAYS A TOTAL OF FOUR MILES. WHEW.....FOR ME.
ANYWAY I WILL KEEP YOU UP DATE ON MY FUTURE RUNNING, PRAY THAT I CAN KEEP IT UP.
SEE YA SOON!
