Surgeon Testimonial

J. Chris Eagon
Dr. Eagan met with me a couple of times to talk about both the gastric bypass and the adjustable band type of surgery. He was very kind and straightforward each time. His staff also has been very kind. They are hard to get ahold of, but do return calls eventually.

15 weeks out
on July 17, 2007 10:55 am
I'm doing really well for 15 weeks.  Getting ready to go on vacation to Table Rock Lake on the 21st YEAH!  Boating and swimming, going to Silver Dollar City.  I can't wait.  I will update some pictures when I get back.  I've lost about 80 pounds and can see that my skin is beginning to sag, I guess plastic surgery will be in my future.  Oh well.

When do I feel normal?
on May 10, 2007 9:43 am
I am 5 1/2 weeks post op and although I am loving the weight loss, I am not liking how I feel.  I really do not eat right and feel sluggish all the time.  I am told this too will pass, however, I am in a hurry to feel normal.

4 days out
on April 6, 2007 10:27 am
Well, I've been home since 4/4/07 at 7:30 p.m.  Everything seem to be ok.  But what do I know?  The drain is such a pain to keep up with.  Even though there is a drain, the incision area leaks from the sides.  Only one of the several incisions actually still hurts, so I think I'm lucky for that.  I hope it stops hurting soon.

3/26/07 - 6th day on liquid protien
on March 26, 2007 9:40 am
I'm still just doing the chicken broth and chocolate flavor protien powder by Unjury.  I haven't found anything else I particularly care for.  However, with only 6 more days, I think I can handle these 2 flavors until it's time.  I finally told my brother, his girlfriend and my two daughters about the surgery.  I have been such a pansy about telling people.  I still have my parents and in-laws to go.  Wish me luck.

3/21/07 1st day of Liquid Protein
on March 21, 2007 6:17 pm
Well, I've had Unjury Chicken Flavor broth for lunch and dinner (20 grams of protein each) and I tried the Medifast Orange Delight drink mix with water and did not like it at all.  I also had 2 scoops of Unjury Chocolate with milk, it was good after I chilled it in the freezer.  I'll have to keep trying different things as these 2 (chicken and chocolate) will get old fast.

My Story

A couple of years ago I decided the rollercoaster just wasn't fun.  I made an appointment with Dr Eagon and was aapproved for RNY surgery by him and the insurance company.  My husband was totally against me having the surgery due to the risks and life style changes.  I'm not sure he is in total agreement now, however, I'm happy to say he is being supportive.  Now, I'm a giddy school girl thinking of all the possibilities that will open up by this time next year.
