Surgeon Testimonial

Brian B. Quebbemann, M.D., F.A.C.S.
I loved Dr Q as soon as I met him. He spent lots of time with us teaching us all about the surgeries. The best part about The New rogram is that they have a ZERO mortality rate, and that's the kind of Dr I wanted to do my surgery!rnrnThe New Program has a Two year follow up and everyone that works there are all wonderful to deal with.rnrnDr Q's surgical competence is why I decided he should be the one to do my surgery!rnrnTo be perfectly honest though, I haven't seen Dr Q since before he preformed my surgery. I've had follow-ups with others on his staff, but most of my appointments are on days when he's in surgery.rnrnHe does the talking before hand, and makes sure you pick the right surgery for you, then the rest of the staff handle it from there. I guess that why he's a surgeon!rnrnHe does attend the Lifestyle Management classes, but becasue of the time, I'm unable to go to them. rnrn

Another 3 pounds gone forever, I'm now weighing in at 186 and have lost 188 pounds!

I started the new job last week and love it.  My trip to Manila has been postponed for a little bit, we're waiting until a contract is signed, and "Super Typhoon Sepat" shut down most of Manila last week as it went though. One of our guys wasn't able to leave the hotel for 7 days due to the flooding. He even watched an armored car float down the street. I don't mind having to wait, it actually doesn't bother me a bit.

Weight is coming off slowly these days, but it's still coming off and that's fine with me.

I went to the OB/GYN last week and talked to him about some "issues" I've been having. My Surgeon thought it best I go see a specialist, so off I went. I've been having lots of pain during sex and have little or no desire most of the time. They ran blood tests to check hormone and testosterone levels, possibly I'm beginning menopause. One thing he did find was the reason for my pain, he said my uterus has dropped and he could feel it upon exam. He totally understood why I would have no desire because of the pain.  He told me he believes whatever supported the uterus could have been lost when I lost weight. I go back next month for my yearly check-up and we'll see if the pain is still there and talk about what will be done. Possibly a hysterectomy? That really won't bother me if it has to be done.

I've still not after a year tested the waters with sugar, and I feel so good that I can stick to this! Starches are still my enemy and do not like me. I may be able to have a bite or two at the end of my meal of things like rice, potatoes, or bread but if I try any sooner or any more I'm sick.

I am able to eat a few crackers with tuna or cheese, but boy do I know it when I've eaten one too many!

I got fitted for bras and jeans a few weeks ago, boy oh boy what a difference a fitting makes, I thought I was a 42 double D, but I'm actually a 38 triple D and the right bra looks and feels so much better!

I promise, really, to post some new photo's very soon!
