John Ryland Scott M.D., F.A.C.S.
Very professional and a nice man. I trusted him immediately. It seemed that he was down to earth and someone that you could talk with.

Time goes by quickly when you're thin
posted on 12/22/08 12:46 pm
Christmas time 2008
I weigh 130 pounds. Loss of over 100+ pounds. My high was 265. I got down to 230 something to have surgery. How did I ever get so big?
Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday I was fat. Even tho I'm a nice size 4, I tend to wander back into the plus size womens department when I shop. Can you really break out of the fat mode? It's nice to go shopping now. I can buy anything I like because I can fit into anything I try on. The challenges I once had are all gone. My mother was so dismayed at me alot of times because of my size. In fact, I can remember her being so mad at me one year at Easter when we were trying to buy me a new dress. Nothing fit and she became so angry. I will never forget that or how she made me feel. Even tho she died last year, and I do miss her, I still remember being the fat daughter. My sister was always the smaller perfect child. There was a difference. I often felt the difference and it hurt. But now she is gone and I'm thin. Where is the good time to make different memories now?
I'm getting ready to have plastic surgery on January 6th. My arms flap in the wing, and my breast are basically long tube socks with a small egg at the end. Long and flacid. Not too sexy. I'm hoping for good results so I can have a TT next. Possible a LBL as my butt & thighs are horrid looking too. It's a wonder my DH even looks at me. Thank God the lights are off at night. With this amount of wrimkled skin I don't think that he'd be interested.
Anyway, this WLS has been a life saver. Mentally I feel great. I wish that I'd had it much earlier in my life. I always wanted to be thinner. Isn't it something that you think thin when you think pretty. I wanted to be prettier.
