Pain Disappearing :) on November 14, 2007 7:24 am
Since I work out in the pool a lot and ride my bike, I'm in decent shape from a cardio perspective. One of the reasons I have disliked walking, though, is not getting short of breath, but because of the pain in my feet, back and hip due to excess weight. I felt like an old lady at the age of 47.
I just got back from my morning walk and am happy to say my feet, back and hip pain are virtually gone. The weight I have lost thus far is really helping and I'm thrilled! And I was more able to focus on the beauty of the morning.
I am so thankful for my RNY.

7 Weeks Out and It's Continuing to Come Off on November 12, 2007 8:01 pm
It's been a few weeks since I've posted and some nice things have happened. Let's see...I've been back at the pool doing water aerobics; I've been out riding my bike; and today I started back at strength training. As of today I'm down to 288.4 -- broke the 300 barrier and then the 290 barrier.
I'm really thrilled with my progress!
I am learning what my little pouch can handle and what it cannot. A couple of weeks ago I ate deli turkey too quickly, got the foamies and then threw up. Several days later I ate soy nuggets too quickly and did the same thing. No pain either time, but I *think* I've learned my lesson -- pay attention and slow down.
Others are starting to notice my weight loss and especially people who haven't seen me in a little while. I'm much more comfortable in my clothes and am shrinking out of more and more of them.
I traveled to Atlanta and back next week and was definitely more comfortable weighing less. I "recovered" from the trip much easier than before. I had to do a bit of creative eating and scrounging while I traveled but all in all made out fine.
I do love my RNY!
