Fifteen minutes of fame? on November 30, 2006 5:14 am
I'm so geeked. Months ago before Clerks 2 came out in theaters there was a sign up thingy on myspace to become a "friend of Mooby". Everyone that added Mooby as a friend before a certain date got their names added to the credits in the DVD release. I just looked and there I was! Hehe!
If you have the DVD, after the credits roll and finish, it switches to another set of credits. 9 mins and 23 seconds in, freeze frame it. My name is right around that point in small letters. Jay Ryan!

I know a lot of my updates lately aren't about my weight loss journey, but only because there's nothing to report. Besides... it's my blog and I can write about what I want. hehe.
I got up today and had supper, then messed around at the strip club I work at in Second Life. I'm making a lot of friends there, they adore me, it's great! Not to mention I'm hot as hell. Hehe.
When I got out of the shower and was drying off I noticed my tattoo in the mirror and it clicked for some reason what day it was. November 28th.. SUPERMAN RETURNS ON DVD DAY!! I wished I had gotten off the computer sooner. I scrambled to get dried, dressed and groomed, packed my lunch and was out the door faster than a speeding bullet.
I had to go to four.. FOUR stores before I could find the 2-disk Special Edition. Went to two Walmarts, a Future shop and FINALLY found it at Zellers and they only had two left after I bought mine. The other places were SOLD OUT already and it just came out this morning! I was able to find the other movie I wanted much easier. Clerks 2 came out today as well. I loves me some Kevin Smithy goodness.
So I'm officially a happy camper, I have the two big movies I've been waiting for... it's a good day so far *knock on wood*

AWESOME!!!!
I only got into them when I saw the trailer for this movie. I bought the soundtrack a week ago and have been listening to it almost constantly since and NOW I've seen the movie on opening night and it was EVERYTHING I hoped for. I usually don't like stoner humor not that there was an excessive amount, because I'm very anti drug, but in this movie it didn't bother me at all because I love the characters so much. Same as Jay and Silent Bob. I'm SO going to see the movie again and buying it on DVD. Jack Black and Kyle Gass are an amazing comedy duo. I bought the deluxe edition of the soundtrack and it comes with 8 tarot cards that represent the title cards for parts of the movie and a replica Pick Of Destiny that looks AWESOME!

Well my letter from the internist must have been sent off to medicare, because being the crafty fellow I am, I asked for a copy to be mailed to me as well and it arrived here today. It's very well written, if I was medicare, I certainly wouldn't deny me. Now it's just a waiting game for it to get to medicare and for them to get back to us.

Blood on the floor? on November 11, 2006 7:29 pm
Having an interesting day to say the least. First, I wake up to cat blood on my bathroom floor. It seems Xander somehow got the head off my razor and tore it apart. I found two out of the four blades and other parts of it, but I can't find the rest. I vaccuumed and hopefully got them all. I checked Xander out, I see where he cut his paw and I checked his mouth, I didn't see any cuts there so hopefully, Gods willing, he didn't swallow anything sharp. When I was vaccuuming, I hurt my back again. The other day I got up off the couch and hurt it. I don't know how, I was very tense at the time, so maybe that did it. It hurts like hell. I'm trying not to move too much even though I'm at work. I'm gonna force myself to go for a walk in the morning though because I've slacked off for the last two days.
Almost got in a car accident tonight on the way to work too. There's a traffic circle that goes under a bridge and my lane has the right of way and there are two lanes that merge into it. Well one of the lanes becomes my lane and the people in that lane have a yield sign.... and apparently this driver either wasn't paying attention or doesnt know what a big upside down red and white triangle means because he nearly took the a$$ end off of my car. He had to swerve to avoid me.
I'm so broke this week, ugh, I ended up having to get more groceries and now I've got nothing left until payday on Thursday, which sucks. I THINK I have enough gas to do me until then, but I've got to drive alllll the way over to Riverview on Tuesday morning for an appointment with my counselor and then I've got an appointment with my dietician on Wednesday. I can't even pay for parking so I'll have to drive around there this morning when I get off work and see if there's a place relatively near the hospital where I can park for free and then walk to the Hospital.
Thursday can't get here soon enough.
I'm sticking to my diet relatively well. My friend Jen took me out for garlic bread and deep fried mushrooms last night as a treat for being a good boy, lol. I'm gonna treat her next time and pick up the tab. She's a good friend, I'm glad we met.

What do you MEAN it's NOT SENT YET!!! I understand a doctor might not have time to write a letter the same day he sees me but it's been since OCTOBER 13TH!!!! He SAID I'd know back in a couple weeks, if he meant a couple weeks after the letter has been dictated, typed, stuck in a file until you have time to proofread and sign it and THEN sent.. SAY THAT!!
I can't BELIEVE this! All this time I've been waiting, worrying, wondering, making myself sick and the F*#!ing letter isn't even SENT?!
The receptionist said it might not even be sent out until end of week or beginning of NEXT week!

GODS! How much longer am I gonna have to wait for approval? Next week it'll be a month since I saw the internist. He said I'd know in a couple weeks. Why does EVERYTHING have to take as long as possible with me? Some people are pre-approved and don't have to do jack and here I am jumping through hoops forever and still wait wait wait.
Okay, I'm allowed to complain, it's my blog.

I re-started my diet tonight. I've been screwing around too long while I wait for approval and I've gained weight back. If I keep it up, I'll gain it all back. I bought a new SONY mp3 player on the weekend and it freakin rocks! 1 gig, much better than my old Mpio piece of garbage. I will NEVER buy another of their products. My new one plugs directly into USB without a cable for music transfer and comes with awesome software. It also charges the built in battery through the USB and holds up to a 28 hour charge. The BEST part is the quick charge feature. If the battery is dead, you plug it into the USB and three minutes gives you a three hour charge, perfect for if I'm on the go. It was only 99 bucks plus tax. Seems like a good deal.
I've been walking the last few days though, even though I wasn't eating great. It's starting to get cold out. Frost in the mornings, almost slipped and fell a couple days ago. It has been a wet couple weeks and the moisture on the asphalt froze, was not fun. I'm NOT looking forward to winter, and in fact I may not walk as much unless I feel like driving to the mall and walking around inside. If I end up getting my surgery in the winter months, that may be my only option, I don't want to take the chance of slipping and falling while my insides are already scrambled and healing.
I had spaghetti squash with spaghetti sauce, parmesan, grated cheese and a cut up baked chicken breast tonight for supper. GOD I'm so addicted. I may be buying spaghetti squash more often. I've officially got a new favorite spaghetti sauce, Prego herbed tomatoes and wine. Mmmmm.
I'm gonna take the advice of some of the people here on OH and try having a couple slices of deli meat and a cheese stick for a snack, see if the protein fills me up longer.

Still haven't heard back from Medicare, it's driving me nuts. The internist said it would be about two weeks. In the meantime I have TOTALLY fallen off the wagon and I CAN'T STOP EATING!! ARRGH!!! I don't know what the heck is wrong with me. I think I've just lost the will to do it, been waiting and working for so long and now more waiting, and then after approval, more waiting..
