    Thank you all so much for the support and encouragement you offered me before my surgery! Your words helped me so much! I am now two months out from my surgery! I have lost 42 pounds to date! I am off almost all of the medication I was taking before the surgery. I feel so much better. I am getting my energy back too! I have a new support website for DSers in the MidSouth.     Congratulations on taking this huge step in your journey and becoming an official member of the "fellowship of the switch." We hope that your surgery and recovery are swift, smooth, and uneventful. It is an interesting experience and certainly not "the easy way out" of being unhealthy and obese but each day will get a little better and be further proof that you dared to dream and had the courage to act.
