I only met him once and he seemed nice enough, i want the sleeve done and he just kinda smiled at me and said oh you'll change your mind eventually??? i think because he knew they would deny me, he is a big fan of the bypass, he doesn't know me though, he probably didn't think i would fight so hard, but its my body and i don't want the intestinal bypass and the band has so many problems, his office staff is very nice, i really liked the nutritionist, and Liz who sends the requests has been very sweet..... so we'll have to see if i win my appeal. if i have to i guess i would do the bypass but i really don't want to and if some companies, like Kaiser, which is the biggest HMO in california are approving it then i think i should be able to get it. We will have to wait and see the jury is still out..

    THIRD UPDATE - All is going well for Ms Jeanie. Just visited her in the hospital and we did 4 laps. She is doing GREAT! She may even get her IV out late this afternoon as her oral intake of fluids is going very well. Yea for her. She should be able to post her update on herself tomorrow!

    SECOND UPDATE - In her room, her daughter is with her. Going for second walk and just had her second pain shot. She feels better than she thought she would and that is GREAT news! If anything like me, she should be home Sunday - late morning, early afternoon. :-)

    I been texting with Jeani's daughter. Surgery went very well, she is still in recovery. Should be out in an hour (1:30 pacific time). I'll know more than and post again. I will also see her on Saturday and let you all know how she looks and feels. Robin
