Surgeon Testimonial

John Angstadt
A superior surgeon and >life-saver< ... very personable, always receptive to communication and email, a terrific leader, and skilled bed-side/visitation manner! I can't believe he left me in the South :D but that's okay, I understand ... New York is VERY LUCKY to win him!!! Miss him! Best to you Doctor Angstadt!

I have literally been on a diet since I was in the second grade ... when my parents couldn't find a suit to buy for me to wear for my first holy communion ... and then ... off and on one EVER SINCE!

I have NEVER been thin ... NEVER ... well, never for any good length of time. I've been on, I think, every possible diet ... from Jenny to Nutri, from fat free to Atkins, to the Cabbage Soup Diet and Weight Watchers; Protein only; South Beach Diet; The Stewardess (now I guess it would be called the Flight Attendant) Diet; Slim Fast; Grilled Cheese Diet; The Ancestor Foraging Diet; The Miso Diet; Ayds Diet (the chocolate carmel diet ... does anyone remember that one?); and then of course the Dexatrim Only Diet (where I would stop eating for a week at a time ... while I was in high school)!

I am now a type 2 diabetic, succumb to periodic gout, hypertension, sleep apnea, eye sight issues, cholesterol issues, and depression ...

thus ...

... at the age of 45 on December the 11th 2009 as a SURGICAL INTERVENTION ... I will be undergoing the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass! I'm excited, horrified, exhilarated, and quite a bit nervous (but mostly THRILLED and INTRIGUED by the prospects)!
