2 weeks away from RNY!!!

My liver shrink diet starts today! I am sooooooo nervous that I will fail at even this. My plan is to start walking today, hopefully it will help with some weight loss too. I can't believe that I am only 2 weeks away from my life changing forever. I can't wait to get healthy!!!

Lap band is gone!

I had my surgery yesterday. Its been 9 years since I have had any real surgery and I forgot about that stinging feeling where my incisions were. Between my laparoscopic scars for lap band, gall bladder removal, lap band removal and my future RNY, I'm gonna have nothing but scars on my belly :). My shoulders bothered me more than anything, the gas I assume. One surgery down, one more to go!!!

Surgery approved!

Just got the phone call that I have been waiting for!! Im approved!! I've had a little complication with my lap band this weekend. Went to the ER for severe abdominal pain, found out that my tubing has disconnected. Hopefully my surgery date can be sooner because it hurts so bad.

My Story

My name is Jennifer, I am 34, mother of 4 beautiful kids. I married my high school sweetheart 8 months ago ;). I have been overweight since I was a teenager. Got my first job at Sonic, gained 35 lbs over the summer. That ruined the rest of my high school years. I lost many friends, even girls, when I gained the weight. As an adult, I ballooned to 286 and decided to have lap band surgery. I lost 110lbs and it recently has started coming back :(, apparently I have a leak in my band. I have gained almost 50lbs since March!! Well, I am ready to go for the "real deal" RNY. I have attended the seminar and have my first weigh in next week. I am super excited and scared at the same time!!!
