Sorry I have been MIA!

I know it has been a long time since I have posted. I have started lurking on here again the last few weeks since time now allows. I have been doin great so far...I finally hit onederland last week. I have gone from a 24 to a 13! I feel so good...just hope it continues. I would have never imagined that I could lose almost one hundred pounds and change this much in 5 months! The only real problems I have had are hair loss and trouble gettin down big pills....but hopefully the hair thing will quit soon and I am workin on the pill situation. I hope to get some pics on here soon.

My Story

Hello all! I am 27, single, no children (yet). I just started my weight loss journey in October 2006 and the St. Joe East Center for Weightloss in Lexington. I have battled my weight since elementary school. I have done several crash diets and gyms (Curves is my favorite) and have had sucess losing weight...I just can't keep it off. I have lost close to 100pds twice and 60pds another time. It is gettin harder and harder to lose only to know it will creep back up on me and more. I attended the seminar in October and began the preop test...EGD, EKG, Phyc consult, stress test. Along the way I found out I had a heart condition, cardiomyopathy. Before I just had high blood pressure, early stage diabetic, gerd and back pain. Now i am on all kinds of meds to strenghten my heart before surgery, and it appears to be working. My cardiologist is great! He cleared me (heart wise) for sugery this week! I am not having much luck with the medical weight loss though...I lost 6lbs the first month gained the 2nd and 3rd, lost the 4th and gained the 5th so i am back where i started and am really starting to stress about insurance approval. So, I have joined Curves this week and hoping to get my weightloss jump started.
