Tomorrow it is . . .

Surgery will be here tomorrow morning . . wow!  It has not been a bad journey at all but some of the toughest things are still ahead!  I am beginning to see food in a bit of a different way . . in my life food has brought my friends/family together!  Perhaps now I will focus more on the company.

I can't wait to see how this tool makes a difference in my life!  Can you believe it all starts the next chapter tomorrow?  I cant wait to have my boys hug me and their arms go all the way around me!  How awesome will that be!

I have 6 more hours of work then I drive to Kansas City . . . my mom and I are going . . My boys will stay at my sisters . . my hubby will be at the firestation and then will return home awaiting my arrival on Thursday, when I return home to heal!

Christmas  . . . I may be alittle slow moving but I will enjoy family but will not overdue it!  I must be around family for that is what the holidays are about!

All of my Pre-op stuff done!!  Woot Woot!!  

Yesterday, a special friend and I went to the speciality hospital where my surgery will be held.  I got my blood work, ekg, and chest xrays done!  I can't believe they took about 8 viles of blood! 

From there I saw the Psych . . . where he proceeded to tell me I was a bit of a people pleaser and I do alot for others.  Hello  . .really?  I am a mom of course I do for others ;).  He then proceed to tell me he was glad I was doing something for myself!  (Those psych tests are something!!   Some of the questions just made me giggle a little . . .lol)

Then the Dietician!!  Thank goodness she had a book of info to give me!!  I have that info in writing!  What to eat . . how much to eat . . when to change what I eat etc!  I can refer back to all of that info!!  I know I will need to!!

Finally the Surgeon!!  Just a quick meeting with him . . . got to ask a few questions  . . .I only have to do 2 day liquid diet and dont have to drink Magnesium Citrate!!  So next week I will be given a tool that will help drive me to becoming something New and Improved!!

Wednesday Dec 14 . . a day full of appointments!

I head back to KC on Tuesday for a day full of appointments on Wednesday!!  I have Nurses Education and all of my pre-op blood work done at 7:30 AM at the hospital.  From there I go see my psychologist for the second time at 9:30 am.  Then I meet with the dietician at 11:30 and then to see the Surgeon for the second time at 1:30. 

I have taken it upon myself to give up pop and have done that for about a week now and have been drinking atleast one protein shake a day for over a week and I seem to be adjusting pretty well.  However I am ready for this caffeine headache to go away!!

Then SURGERY is a week from Wednesday . . . can it really be?

PSYCH EVAL NEXT . . .

Well this week will encompass another step toward my surgery date coming true.  I go to Kansas City this weekend for my psych eval . . . so I guess I will just get worried if I see people in white coats coming to take me away . . .

Not totally sure what to expect or how long it will take but makes me a step closer to making my surgery a REALITY!!

This eval will be followed up with a Girls Weekend in Kansas City . . friends, fun, and SHOPPING!  Let's get this over with!
