I'm a nurse, and a single mother to a truly wonderful 9 year old boy.

I chose to have laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery because I have struggled with my weight all my life, and over the past three years have gained so much weight that I am now considered morbidly obese.  I cannot do the things I used to love doing with my son, like rock climbing, skating, riding roller coasters, bicycle riding, and swimming. I also love theatre and miss being up on stage.

I had my surgery on January 16, 2012.
