My Story

Hi,  I am Jenny and I am Fatty,,,,Hi Jenny (just joking)

  As I start this Journey my highest weight was 348 after dieting on my own awhile and a 3 mth supervised diet I was down to 305.  I am currently on my 2 week liquid diet and am under 300 lbs.  My surgery is 8-11-11.  I am having a RNY at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans. 
   I am 31 years old and married with an awesome 11 year old step son.  My husband and I have been married for 10 years.  He has been very supportive lately but from the get go was totally against this surgery.  Finally I told him he had no choice.  You see I have Osteogenisus Imperfect (OI) it is a brittle bone disease, that is genetic and has no cure.  Sometimes I would wake up feeling like my fat was crushing my bones. 
  Hopefully the surgery will help once some of the weight is off.  I see this surgery as a light at the end of a dark dingy tunnel.   I am happy to share my journey with many lovely (and some not so nice) people on here.  I am very determined to do great since I was blessed with this insurance approval first try.
