Surgeon Testimonial

Philip Chin, M.D.
I was very happy with Dr. Chin. He was very nice and anwsered anything I asked. i came in with a major list and I was told to read every single one of my questions with no problems. He came and saw me after the surgery and he was very kind. I would recommend him withno hesitations at all...

Tuesday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench!

on January 24, 2008 2:02 pm
Well I'm down 30 lbs...yah hooo.. I feel really bad this week though. I went to the Dr and I have an phemonia. So I have been very sick in bed. I'm suppose to start working again on monday. I hope I can. Other then being sick i have been doing good. I am on regular foods now. But that doesn't mean much. I went to eat chicken, I couldn't..it felt like rocks in my tummy. Hamburger same thing. So because I'm sick I'm kinda just doing soups right now. Well maybe next week i can try some good foods..

4 weeks post-op
on January 7, 2008 12:50 pm
Wow...That kinda went fast. I am now on a puree diet, which can you say yuck..Somethings are good. But most look and taste like baby foods. I have been sticking mostly with refried beans, chesse, apple sauce and cottage chesse. Some soups do taste good pureed to. I have lost a total of 21 lbs. Which is GREAT. I still don't see to much of a difference, but know it will come soon. 2 Weeks until I go back to work.YUCKY I have no interest in doing that. I have enjoyed being home with my boys again. My holes are almost all the way healed. I have figured out what NOT to eat... But mostly everything has been ok. I'm happy to say I'm feeling pretty darn good..

Feeling Good
on December 23, 2007 8:07 am
Today is day 13 post-op and I have to say I feel good. I got to sleep onmy side yesterday night which was nice. I am getting kinda sick of liquid diet. I need something else. Nothing is sounding good. Which makes me not want to even eat. I finally found some good protein, it's called NEW WHEY and I put it in my water and it was good. 42g of protein. Not bad. I see the Dr on 12-27-07 for my 2 week post-op. I hope he will move me ot puree ar least. I have lost 12 pounds so I am happy..

My Story

I'm 32 years old and have been over weight now for over 10 years. WOW I didn't even realize it had been that long until I typed it.  I have been so ready for a change. I started looking into the bypass about 4 years ago. But everyone I ever told would tell me not to do it. That I should try to diet and exercise. Well I tired it and it never worked. I always gained it back.  So this year I had it, I'm tired of being the fat friend, the fat girl who is scared of what people are thinking of her when she walks in the room. So I did it. I went to my doctor and asked for a refferal and got it. Then after that everything snowballed FAST. I mean super fast. I went to a seminar and 8 weeks later have an approval and date. I'm so ready for a change of lifestyle. I have 2 sons 5 and 8 and a husband who I love and have been commited to for 17 years. Yes...I was 15 when we started dating. It's rare to see people together as long as we have been together. I am truly blessed. I am ready to shop in normal size stores. I can't wait to step into "BEBE".
Well enough about that, here goes my journey into a new life.
