Surgeon Testimonial C. Kenneth Mitchell, Jr. Very nice and very informative The office staff was very efficient and kind. Dr. Mitchell is very honest and up front with you and will not take chances with your life. Aftercare is very important to Dr. Mitchell. They are there to help you every step of the way with a very good program. I wanted to have gastric bypass because I thought I would be more successful with it. After my endoscopy, he didn't think it would be good for me since he found a spot on my stomach. He explained extensively why the lap band would benefit me more since this finding could be detrimental to my health in the future with the gastric bypass. After the lapband was done and the second upper gi was done, it confirmed his suspicions and I knew we had made the right decision. I hope this spot does not cause me any problems but if it does, with the lap band it can be taken care of and if I had had the gastric bypass, my life could have very well been in jeopardy. I think Dr. Mitchell is excellent in his decision making and as a surgeon. Surgical competence is most important; however, with a bedside manner like he has, you get the best of both.
