My first impression of Dr Dewitt was wonderful. He seemed very confident and experienced. His office staff was just wonderful. He is very caring and considerate of all your needs and problems.

23 month post op
on July 18, 2007 6:19 pm

I know I am not good at keeping this thing updated.  I am now down to 182 lbs for a total loss of 235.  I go up and down 3-5 lbs a week.  I am seen a plastic surgeon, Dr Jason Jack at Hedden plastic surgery and I am waiting on my approval from the insurance company.  We have  had so much going on this summer I have not really been keeping up with the OH board as I want to and should.  I will try to do better this next month.... I will keep you posted as the plastic's journey begins.

First of all, I would like to start off by saying that I give GOD all the Glory for my success with the weightloss.  I could not have done it without Him.

It has been 15 months since my journey began.  I am at my personal goal of 185 lbs.  I have lost a total of 232 lbs.  I know that I could lose some more but I am perfectly satisfied at the weight I am at.  I know that I have to have some (alot) of plastics to remove all of this excess skin, but that will come in the future.  As of today, I have not had any complications THANK GOD!  I feel great and look like a different person.  I see people that I have not seen in months and they don't recognize me.  It is amazing at how I have changed.  Some people say I look 10 years younger.  I feel as if I know have life and that I can actually live my life to the fullest.  I have more self confidence and my self image/esteem is improving.

Well it sure has been a long time since my last update but I have been so busy with my new job and family. It has been 13 months since my surgery and I have lost 218 lbs. For this first time in 17 years I have weighed below 200lbs. My current weight is 199. My whole life I have struggled with weight and I am just amazed at how this surger has changed my life. This entire experience has taken me to levels in my life that I never knew exsited. My husband and family have been so supported. Without him I could not have made it. I still struggle with some emotional/mental aspects that come with the surgery such as self esteem and anxiety, but I get better and better everyday. I have finally for once in my life realized that I will never have perfect body. My goal is not to be skinny but to be healthy. That is such a big milestone to come to the realization that life is not all about your size but about your life and what you make of it. I have a new life. I feel so much confidence and have such a different outlook on life. As always with everything that I do in my life, I give God all the Glory and He deserves all the credit for allowing me to see life from a different perspective and giving me back the life I never knew I had. Until next time!!!

My Story

My Lap RNY was on Sept 27, 2005, I had a beginning weight of 417. I had high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, terrible arthritis pain in both knees and hips, I could hardly walk a half a mile. I had the most wonderful supportive husband who was with me each step. I was approved after the 2nd attempt, I just believed that this was what God wanted me to do. I prayed for 6 months that God let me know if I should have the surgery. I was approved during the 7th month, that was my confirmation. With God all things are Possible. I have a chance for living!!

This is 8months post op and 180 lbs. gone forever!

This is my 9mth picture.

My current weight is 227, I have lost a total of 190 lbs. Today was my 33rd birthday!
