My first impression of Dr Dewitt was wonderful. He seemed very confident and experienced. His office staff was just wonderful. He is very caring and considerate of all your needs and problems.

Wow~~Love your 'name'! Just came across ya on the Bama Board to had to check you out and say "Hello"! Don't know ya from your previous name and from your profile didn't know what was going on with you as far as your wls journey. Hope that all is good and you are enjoying your 'new life'! I am scheduled for surgery January 3rd in Anniston with Dr. Bryan Freeman. So looking forward to New Year and "New Life"! Would love to hear your story, if you'd like to share sometime. If don't get a chance to talk to you again, hope that you have a Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year! Take care & God Bless You~~~Lisa (who's originally from 'your neck of woods'/ Blount County)

Well it sure has been a long time since my last update but I have been so busy with my new job and family. It has been 13 months since my surgery and I have lost 218 lbs. For this first time in 17 years I have weighed below 200lbs. My current weight is 199. My whole life I have struggled with weight and I am just amazed at how this surger has changed my life. This entire experience has taken me to levels in my life that I never knew exsited. My husband and family have been so supported. Without him I could not have made it. I still struggle with some emotional/mental aspects that come with the surgery such as self esteem and anxiety, but I get better and better everyday. I have finally for once in my life realized that I will never have perfect body. My goal is not to be skinny but to be healthy. That is such a big milestone to come to the realization that life is not all about your size but about your life and what you make of it. I have a new life. I feel so much confidence and have such a different outlook on life. As always with everything that I do in my life, I give God all the Glory and He deserves all the credit for allowing me to see life from a different perspective and giving me back the life I never knew I had. Until next time!!!
