My first impression of Dr Dewitt was wonderful. He seemed very confident and experienced. His office staff was just wonderful. He is very caring and considerate of all your needs and problems.

Wow~~Love your 'name'! Just came across ya on the Bama Board to had to check you out and say "Hello"! Don't know ya from your previous name and from your profile didn't know what was going on with you as far as your wls journey. Hope that all is good and you are enjoying your 'new life'! I am scheduled for surgery January 3rd in Anniston with Dr. Bryan Freeman. So looking forward to New Year and "New Life"! Would love to hear your story, if you'd like to share sometime. Sorry I havent updated my profile in so long. Everything has been going great for me. NO problems at all. I have lost a total of 204 lbs now and currently weigh 213 I have recently started a new job that requires lots of walking, stooping, bending and everything you can imagine and I love it. I walk up and down stairs at work to get to my office and I feel like running sometimes. I feel healthier that I have every felt. I will try to update again soon, I am coming up on my one year anniversary.

Four Months Post-op
1-30-06 -113lbs
I had little plateau and only lost 10 more pounds, due mainly to the 2 menst. cycles per month I have been having. I am still very excited about losing the 113 and feel great, I need to exercise more and drink more water though.

My Story

My Lap RNY was on Sept 27, 2005, I had a beginning weight of 417. I had high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, terrible arthritis pain in both knees and hips, I could hardly walk a half a mile. I had the most wonderful supportive husband who was with me each step. I was approved after the 2nd attempt, I just believed that this was what God wanted me to do. I prayed for 6 months that God let me know if I should have the surgery. I was approved during the 7th month, that was my confirmation. With God all things are Possible. I have a chance for living!!

This is 8months post op and 180 lbs. gone forever!

This is my 9mth picture.

My current weight is 227, I have lost a total of 190 lbs. Today was my 33rd birthday!
