I am a 38 year old mother of 2 from the suburbs of Montreal, Qc and have had the Vertical Sleeve on Feb.15 2008.
I have had a weight problem ever since the birth of my second child and was on the waiting list for the RNY surgery for over 1 year. On the morning of the surgery, the Dr. convinced me to go with the Vertical instead since I have 100 lbs to loose and he was convinced this would be the best for me.
Starting on Feb.5, I had to start the optifast liquid diet prior to the surgery. My surgery went well, no pain killers needed but need support from other members who have experienced same as me!
