Surgeon Testimonial

Toby Broussard, M.D.
I met with Dr. Broussard this week for my first visit. He was very personable and answered all my questions. I left his office with a very good feeling and with all the confidence I need to make this journey a success!
I might add that my oldest daughter who is a patient of his also was with me and made it all the better! Both of my daughters are a huge support and should make this life change much easier for us all.

I've now had my surgery on April 15, 2009. So far all is going well. I do so think Dr. Broussard is the best! He always has a smile on his face and seems so pleasant. I truly believe he is all about helping obese people. You can tell that he really cares and I'm so thankful for that.

One Year OUT!!!!!
on May 14, 2010 8:04 am
I went this week for my year visit!  I was 158 lbs. down from my start!  YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   It is like living a new life!
I was so pleased with the DRS report also and so was he.  I've had no problems and am doing great!  I feel wonderful too.

If you are even contemplating having surgery, do it now .  Don't hesitate, you won't be sorry!   You can not believe what a difference the weight loss is.  You will feel so much better both physically and mentally and will also have so much more energy to do the things you've always wanted to do.  Get started today with your journey!

And remember, you are never too old either to start.  I had surgery at the age of 61 and wish I would have done it much sooner.  But the procedures are much more less invassive now and done more often.  I feel like it is much safer to have done it now.

Good luck to all those on the beginning of their journey and Keep up the hard work for those who are in my shoes!   It isn't an easy road at all but it is all worth it in the end!  I promise you !

5 months out!
on September 16, 2009 12:24 pm

Things are going great!  I feel so much better already.
I'm down to 240lbs. from 360 at this time last Sept 08.  What a difference.  Although I still have some to go , I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!  I'm so gld that I decided to have WLS.  IT has already made a change in my lifestyle.
If anyone is even doubting having the WLS, take the plunge and do it.  It is well worth the chance.  You won't be sorry you did.
