Let's see - I've met with the nurses for their instructional and  successfully completed my psych evaluation.    Today  I completed the diet and exercise class  AND did the echocardiogram.         Next week I meet with the surgeon. 

I have did ask the clinic staff today if perhaps we shouldn't be applying for prior-authorization before meeting with the surgeon.   I guess the answer is to soldier on.      My concern is that it's hard to participate in the information sessions - not know about insurance coverage.   About the only way I can make this work in my head is to assume that if insurance doesn't cover it - I'll do it anyway via self-pay (although then I'll be comparison shopping for prices).      When I mentioned the possibility of Mexico (in the event we have to self-pay) -   my support team about knocked me over with their resounding no - but after some careful conversations -they have agreed it would be an option worth researching.
