ObesityHelp

Hi!   Kelly here.  I am a 43 year old mom.  I just had gastric bypass and am happy I did.

I dont remember thinking I was a fat kid - but the kids called me "kelly belly" - so  I dont know... my family never said anything until about 6th grade.    I think jumped from kid sizes straight to 13s.  In high school I remember 16s and 18s.   And it has gone up from there.....

I have run the whole diet program - you name it i probably tried it.   I remember loosing 22 lbs from six months on phen-fen - SIX months and all I lost was 22 lbs!  Four months of Jenny Craig lost 13.   UGH   you get the picture.  I take after my mom - not good at the subtraction just the addition     So, since about 24 years old I have thought about WLS but never taken any steps towards it.  Until last year.   From there it took 1 1/2 years to get here.  Once I made my mind up, I dont think I really thought it wouldnt happen - even thru a stroke and all the insurance hoops.  I think it was meant to be.  It was finally my time.
