Surgeon Testimonial

Gregg Jossart, M.D.
Our first meeting went well. I'd done all my paperwork so we were able to sit and talk about the different procedures that would be good for me, where it would be performed and what it would cost me after insurance paid. It tool several days for his office to call me back, but once they did they were very friendly, informative and got me an appointment in 2 days! I freaked, I thought I'd have another few weeks to cogitate on it. rnrnThere wasn't anything I didn't like about Dr. Jossart. I'm very pragmatic and he gave me the information I needed to take things to the next step of my journey.rnrnHe told me they are very concerned about aftercare and the support groups. I already had plans to attend the May 17 one and he liked that. They have a plan of when to see you after surgery the first year and have a dietitian and psychologist available anytime.rnrnHe was very clear about the risks and the benefits. I had checked his stats and knew they have one of the best after surgery results and fewest problems. They're very strict about what you can eat when which helps deter complications. I intend to follow them.rnrnI would rate Dr Jossart a 10 out of 10.rnrnSurgical competence rates #1 for me, then bedside manner. The reality is what he does in surgery I'll have to live with for the rest of my life. rn

I tried a new exercise video today Debbie Rocker Total Body Challenge Walk, Upper, Lower , Abs with Band.  The band work was good but there wasn’t much of it and she was pretty boring which made it drag.  She kept giving false, “you’re done” comments, when we weren’t done, which I found demotivating.

I also tried Leslie Walk Away Your Waistline  3 miles, with her walk belt which I loved.  More energy and enthusiasm and before I knew it, I was done.  I will try more of her tapes.

I tried the calcium crystals and don’t like the feeling/flavor.  It makes things taste more alkaline is the only way I can describe it.  I ordered some Kirkland Signature Calcium Chews 500 mg with Vitamin D and Vitamin K Sugar Free Chocolate Flavored.  Hopefully I’ll find a calcium more palatable.

I had tea with my friend, mostly we talked but we walked a little.

I did 2 Leslie Walk Away The Pounds videos this morning.  What an invigorating way to start the day!  Also walked the river run walk.  I’m revved today!  Visited friends most of the afternoon.  I know I mentioned it before..but I LOVE my Polar heart monitor!  It really keeps me in the fat burning zone.  Going back to liquids, exercising more, upping protein and water has really paid off.  The pounds are falling off.

I’ve lost 33” inches, WOW!  I ordered a few more exercise videos.  I’ve outgrown the Leslie Sansone 1 mile walk and the video machine ate the 2 mile walk.  I’m loving Leslie Sansone so I ordered a few others, I also ordered Debbie Rocker's Total Body Challenge Walk Kit w/ band and Jillian Michaels' Workout for Beginners.  I seem to be in a buying mood.  I also ordered one of each flavor of Oh Yeah! Wafer Bars. 3g carbs and 15g protein I’m going to try them for breakfast.

I ordered some new walking shoes too, New Balance 903.  Yes, I know they’re men’s shoes, but my feet aren’t dainty. LOL  I can’t get a woman’s racewalking shoe in my width. They’re a lot lighter than the street shoes I’ve been wearing.  My feet should fly once I get them.  I also ordered Denise Austin Powerbelt Walking System.  It’s kind of like resistence bands on a pulley system.
