Surgeon Testimonial

Lyudmila S. Pupkova M.D.
My first impression of her was that she wants to make sure that we all understand exactly what we are looking into you. She gave me all the information and them some. Actually answered my questions before I had a chance to ask them.rnrnHer office staff has been very patient with me. I have made numerous phone calls to the office asking about my paperwork and they were always very polite with me.

19 week and 80 pounds later....
on April 9, 2008 5:39 pm
I am officially down 80 whole pounds from my highest weight and down 10 sizes in my pants. I went shopping last weekend and was able to buy size Large tops and size 16 and 18 bottoms, depending on who makes them. LOL

I went from size 46G bra down to size 40DD which is a hugh relief, and from size 12 panties to size 8.

The only clothinig I have not replaced is my socks, they still fit. LOL

I have posted new pictures that were taken today at work to my profile.

11 weeks with blood work
on February 12, 2008 5:05 am

Here I find myself 11 weeks out as of yesterday morning and down 54.6 pounds. I got my blood work back from the lab yesterday and am very happy to find that my cholesterol is down from 228 to 188 which is 40 whole points, my triglycerides are down from 115 to 106 which is 9 points, my glucose is down from 106 to 100 which is still just a point above normal but it is getting better.

I have started a normal work out with a friend of mine and will be at the gym 4 or 5 days a week. As of now we are doing lower body on Monday and upper body on Tuesday then lower body on Wednesday and upper body again on Thrusday cardio on friday and some weeks even Saturday.

on February 3, 2008 7:33 am
Well here I sit at the computer again amazed with my own progress. I will be 10 weeks post op tomorrow morning and I am down 52.6 pounds and 25.5 inches total. I have gone down 6 pant and 4 dress sizes and officially have NO bras that fit. My shoe size has gone down 1.5 sizes and my undie size has gone down 3 sizes.
But better than the sizes, I have only used my inhaler once since surgery and my blood pressure has already returned to normal ranges. I have my first blood tests next saturday and I cant wait to compair those numbers.

I feel truely blessed and my life will never be the same.

Thank God for Barix and Dr. Pupkova

New Years Eve
on December 31, 2007 7:12 am
Wow another couple weeks down and the rest of my life to go. It has officially been 5 weeks since my new life began and I could not be happier.
I was once told, actually got a letter from Barix about having thoughts like "oh why did I do this to myself" or "What have I gotten myself into" and I am very happy to say that I have not thought or said that one time. This was and will always be the best decision I have ever made. I am officially down 37 pounds without going to the gym. I have a knee injury that flares up every time I touch a treadmill, so I am banned from them by my pcp and am still losing weight. I am hoping that after I take off another 30 pounds I can get on the eliptical machine, they tend to not irritate my knee as much. I will be going to the pool nightly starting after the new year.

3 weeks post op
on December 17, 2007 7:34 am
I can not believe that is has been three weeks already. I am amazed that the little bit of weight, actually ton of weight I have already lost has made such a difference in how I am feeling, sleeping, and moving around.
I was able to wear my jeans yesterday, which is something I have been putting off so that I didn't bump or rub my stomach to much, and they are to darn big. Can you believe that? I am so excited that I will be able to give them away in the next few weeks or a month.
