John, Hope you’re on your way home and on the road to Health by now! It’s good to see more guys out here on Obesity Help. We make up a small minority of the people having Weight Loss Surgery, but tend to lose down quicker and with fewer hassles than the women due to Male Physiology. The first weeks can be rough, but remember “It Does get Easier…” Drop by the "Men's Message Board" at- http://www.obesityhe lp.com/forums/men/ -to see how other Guys are doing with their surgeries. A lot of info and advice specifically tailored to Men. I’m just dropping by to let you know that there’s a huge crowd of strangers out here pulling for you and holding you in our prayers. May you have a famously successful surgery and a record-breaking recovery! Be nice to the nurses, Enjoy the drugs when you can, and most importantly, hurry home and start walking away from those pounds and into a new Life! Best Wishes-

I'm Approved on St. Valentine's Day
on February 28, 2007 6:23 pm
It is the last day of February and time is running out as far as this month is concerned. I began this process in early January and was approved on St. Valentine's Day. I'm pretty excited about it and have stayed pretty focused on getting in better shape by doing some walking. I've also lost about 20 pounds during the last two months. I'm doing reading and learning all the time to capture as much information as possible. I want to go into this as well educated and motivated as possible. I remember what it was like to be thin at 169 and fresh out of college. The years have passed, but life has been so good. I have a lot to be thankful for. My wife goes to work every night so that we can have the wonderful insurance that gets approved on the first try. Not only that, but I will have a nurse on behalf of the insurance company who will monitor my progress. This is an exciting time and I look forward to the days and months ahead. I'm motivated by the friends and good people here at Obesity Help.
