First day home from hospital (1/19/11)

I just had my Lap DS Monday (Jan. 17th) at Presbyterian with Dr. Voellinger (SEB) in Charlotte.  Everything went well.  

K...day 2; feeling pretty good. Have some pain from gas bubbles (I can burp just fine, but as of yet, no farts) :-(
I have some pain from one incision, but meds help with that. I took a little longer to come out of anesthesia and have been slow getting my clear liquids in today (nausea) but have been up and moving a lot today so am feeling fairly good so far.....

I am back home from the hospital (actually just got home about 2 hours ago) and my mom is with me to help with my little guy. I feel really good actually, except when a gas bubble creeps up between my shoulder blades or up my neck...that hurts! So I will be experiencing gas for a while huh? That's Ok...I can deal.

Day 3- I feel pretty good, except for gas (I am sure you have heard about that post-op lovely) :-)  Moving more...went for a walk in the back yard with my son and watched him play.  Sweet.

Day 4 - I passed gas!!  Yeah!  I haven't had to use gas meds....just walk and drink fluids.  I am feeling better every day.  Still have pain with one incision (but Dr. says this is where they spent a lot of time working...took my stomach from this one). and take meds when necc., but usually rest does the trick.  Already bored with the liquid diet and struggle with protein supplements..just not tasty at all!  I am thinking of blending a boiled egg with some milk to get some taste and protein.
