When I went for my 1 year update visit, Dr. Sherer saw me and was so very helpful in asking ME questions. He gave me information that was and still is very helpful. He is a very thorough Physician and such a professional at everything he does. I am 20 months out now and I have had no trouble with my surgery. Recently I have had some sharp pains in my left side. They are always so good to return my calls. I would recommend Dr. Sherer to anyone considering WLS! WOW!! It's been 2 months since I have posted on my profile! I am so slack these days, but LIFE IS GREAT!! I hope to start school next month. I have put my resume in at numerous places and just waiting on God to see what happens. I want HIS will for my life. Not mine!
We went on vacation the week of the 4th. What an awesome time we had! The week was perfect. Started off by going to Eufaula on Saturday then to the extreme northern part of the state. We spent some great quality time with some Bama Family and it was the best! I know we have made family and friends for a lifetime!
I've had carpal tunnel surgery on my hand. Everything went great to start with, but now I have a knot on my wrist and my hand wakes me at night. I have to call the Dr. about it. Love you guys! Randall
July 12, 2005 Today is my 39th Birthday. It was wonderful. Joie and the kids got me a new shirt, my pastor and his wonderful family took me to lunch and they had that silly sombrero put on my head while they sang to me in Spanish (the waiters), Becky and Mike took me to lunch and I had the same thing happen. What a silly pic. Me in a Sombrero! LOL What an awesome day though!
July 25, 2005 Went back to the orthopedic doctor today for my carpal tunnel follow up. My wrist wasn't healing properly. I had a knot come up on it and it was really bothering me more after the surgery than before the surgery so he put a cast on it. OF ALL THINGS!! Since he's put it on though, I have noticed it isn't falling asleep. Maybe this will do the trick.
08/09/05 Well, we had another Montgomery Dinner tonight. We had 29 in attendance and boy did we have a wonderful time. Michael and Pat are a hoot! Everyone is looking so good! I love being around my OH Bama Board Family!
08/14/05 Kim aka Tegan Angel did an awesome job with my profile. I'm so happy with it. There was nothing wrong with my other one, but this one suits me more. I've had an awesome 3 weeks. I've spent time with my "family" and got to celebrate with Brenda (Mom) on her Birthday. She and Poppa (Glenn) will never know what they mean to me. I have a new sister too and she and her family are just the bomb. Joie, Torey, Allison and I have grown to love them so much. We spent the weekend up there last week. I'm at 170 and maintaining my weight. Life is good and I have never been happier and felt better in my life! God is so good. I got a paying job last week. It's only part time at 15 hours a week, but it's a paying job. 1st time in 7 years!! I've been secretary (volunteer) at the church for 4 years now at 12 hours a week. I started to go back to school. I enrolled for classes and everything. My Pastor came to me and asked that I pray about staying at the church and he offered me a salary. WOW!! Joie and I prayed about it and we feel that I made the right choice about staying at the church. I'm not patting my own back, but I can honestly say that if we are faithful to God, He will be faithful to us. I have been there 4 years volunteering and love every minute of it. Now, I get paid for it! Life is awesome! Love you all!
08/18/05 What a Day!! Whew!! 8:30 P.M. I am just getting home. I was here this afternoon BRIEFLY and had to leave. Started this day with a Dr.'s appt. this morning. Got a B-12 shot, blood drawn and had my finger stuck. My Hmg A 1C is supposed to be 7 or less, mine is 4.5!! My B/P is awesome at 113/70 and I am down 90 lbs. according to the Dr.'s scales! Life is wonderful and I couldn't be happier. Got home and had a message about PTA (knew about it) and was told I had a report to give to the parents tonight (didn't know about that). I had to go to the church, get my files, and quickly prepare a financial statement for the last year's meeting to the current date. All in an hour! I did it though and gave it with confidence. I was pleased. It's been a wonderful day, but a tiring day! Now, to enjoy me a cup of coffee, watch a little T.V. and go to BED!! LOL Love you all!
