Here's my story


2-month update

Well, I'm feeling better. Two of the three open wounds having completely closed. I'm not having near as much nausea as I did even two weeks ago. I also stared back to work today. It was great to see all my friends again. I'm anxious to weigh myself to see what prgress I've made there. All in all, I feel like I've finally turned the corner on the DS. I can more honestly say I'm glad I made the decision to have the procedure.

Six Week Update

Here goes...my dry heaving has subsided to only 1-2 episodes a day. This is such a relief for me having been through so much nausea the past few weeks. The latest pocket of infection was identified and addressed through opening my incision and a strong antibiotic. I'm now off of my BP medication and am feeling good. Since the surgery (4/25) I've now lost 80 lbs. Quite frankly, I'm astonished at the rate of my own weight loss. I hope I can return to work soon, I'm really missing my friends.
