Water
on December 29, 2011 6:46 pm
I am having a really hard time getting my water in.  Especially today, I have thrown up a few times today.  I fill on water too quickly.  I know I am supposed to sip, sip, sip, but that is so hard for me to do that.  Any suggestions?

I am feeling great...

except for my back.  What the crap is going on?  I did my day one of couch to 5k and my back is killing me.  I went to the drug store this am and purchased some junior tylenol melt tabs and I am really hoping that helps.

I was able to see the hubby for a few hours on Thanksgiving and it was awesome.

I am finally feeling restriction and I am loving it.

Emotional Roller Coaster
on November 18, 2011 7:30 pm
I am a little over 2 weeks post op.  My hubby deployed on Wednesday.  I am so far behind on work I feel like I am drowning!  My hubby is a reservist and his pay from his regular job is all screwed up.  I had my first "episode" today.  I ate something without thinking about it and then tried to drink water a little later and threw up the water.  UHG!!  I tried to get one of my girl friends to go out with me tonight, since the kids are at Grandma's and everyone was busy.  They all say, just call me when you need someone, but when I call nobody has the time. I feel so alone right now.

4 days post op
on November 5, 2011 1:46 pm
Oh my am I feeling so much better today.  I have set my life up on a timer pretty much and it is really helping me to keep it all together.

I still have pain at my port sight, but I am not surprised after seeing the snake that they pulled out of there.  That was a feeling I never want to feel again.

My vision is doing so much better.  The swelling in my left arm has gone done so much.

My hands are still freezing, but I just figure it is due to the many changes going on with my body.

I have worked out methods on how to get up and down from a chair or bed more easily.

I am taking fewer walks, however they are longer walks when I do take them.

I tried to sleep with the hubby last night but that did not work.  I slept much better in the recliner.

My tail bone is achy.  Is that normal?  How knows?

I was able to take a shower today and I got dressed in real clothes.

Tonight we are doing Christmas at our house since Daddy is deploying too soon and will miss Christmas.  We are also having a birthday party for our 2 smallest kids tomorrow at the park, so I am lookin forward to that.  We chose the park so that there would be less for me to do.  It is suppposed to be beautiful.

If anyone wants to connect with me on fb, here is my link. http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=100003059308106  My name is Gastric Bypass Ruthie.  I am so ready for this journey.

I am home now and I am feeling so much better,  It is all just so sureal to ne that I did this.  I know this is going to be an adventure.  My hubby went and got the kids some hamburgers for lunch and i know that the old me would of scarffed every last leftover.

My left arm is swollen from 4 botched iv attempts. It makes it really hard to type, so I will post more when my hand is better.  Thank you for all your support
