Surgeon Testimonial

James Foote, M.D.
My first impression of Dr Foote was WOW!! He is young and good looking!!!rnI was told he was the best of the best and I agree!!! Dr Foote is THE BEST!!!!rnI never had any problems with his office staff at all and was treated very well.rnI liked everything about Dr Foote.rnDr Foote doesn't beat around the bush...he tells you like it is.rnYou must follow the guidelines that are given to you if you want to succeed in this WLS.rnYou must exercise to help you tone up and lose weight. Go to support group meetings which are very beneficial to you. And make sure you get all your protein and water in each and every day along with the vitamins. And also follow-up on your post-op visits.rnAll surgeris have risks. If you do what you are told there should be NO problems.rnOn a scale of 1-10...I would say a 10+!!!! Excellent Dr!!!! rnBoth are great...makes you feel like a human instead of another paycheck.rnGOD BLESS DR. FOOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!rn

3 YEARS OUT
on October 15, 2009 7:53 am

WOW!! 3 YEARS ALREADY...WHERE DID TIME GO?? seems like only yesterday i had WLS (don't it wish haha) life has sure taken me by the horns since i lost this excess weight!!! i am still holding at 185-190 pounds down from 334 pounds before surgery so i guess i am a success!! wish i would have lost more but it is what it is i guess. i am happier than i have been in a long long time thats for sure!!! i can do things and not think twice about it. i can fit into booths at a restaurant, i can fit into theater seats again, i can go on rides at the carnivals too!!! i can even ride a horse if i want to...man i want to ride again!!! haven't been on a horse in a couple years now. all i can do is walk while riding but still i am ON a horse again!!! back hurts me so bad that is why i can only do a walk while riding. have to find a riding stable around here i guess...blood tests are good except the vitamin D is low so i am trying to get that up again...otherwise i feel great!!! have hips hurting also but i am thinking its arthritis. also my knee bothers me at times also. and again i am thinking it is arthritis. had a bone density scan done and it came back in the normal range so dr didn't order any further testing. i should call and see if i should have a test of some sort to see what is hurting me so bad. feet are also killing me at times but working on cement floors isn't good either but its my job.
so that is about it for me this post. life is good and if i had to do it all over again i would in a minute!!! (WLS) ;-)

ANOTHER PART OF MY LIFE HAS ENDED
on September 28, 2009 6:13 am
After a long battle with his health my ex husband passed away on September 11. Gary had alot of health issues since 1996. He is no longer suffering with his latest battle of health. After being with him for over 30 years and being divorced from him for a year I admit there are still feelings involved. It tore me up some but I know he is better off now. There is closure for me and that is a good thing. I did go back to Michigan for his funeral and it did me good being there. I can go on with my life being happy once again. Rick stood by my side and will always be my rock. Life is good for me and though it was sad Gary passing away I know he is better off where he is at now. May he go rest high on that mountain!!!!

ONE YEAR AGO I MOVED TO OHIO
on June 17, 2009 10:14 am
Well it has now been one year since I moved from Michigan to Ohio and I don't regret it at all!! I love it here and I love Rick even more than ever!!! He has been so supportive to me and all that I have been through. It is soooo good to finally have a man in my life that supports me in everything that I do!!! He loves me to pieces and let me tell you it feels good!!! I have never in my life felt this loved and wanted by anyone ever!!! Life is good!!!
I have a good job that I like and will soon know if i got the new job that is even better for me. If i get it great!!! and if i don't...well I guess it wasn't meant to be. I have a feeling though that I will get this position...lets hope this feeling is right!!! LOL
My weight has stopped coming off but I am happy. Not at goal but I did meet my goal of being under 200 pounds again. I am holding at 185 give or take a pound or two. Going from a size 26 to a 14-16 is great!!! Atleast in my book it is!! ;)
The sadness of the horrible death of my dog Spike is going away slow but sure. Bandit is my baby and he sure is a good boy being there for me to make me smile when I am sad. Rick and Bandit have bonded and are fun to watch play hide and seek with each other!! Sure makes me laugh at their antics!!! Never a dull moment with them around....LOL
As for my finger that I broke when Spike was attacked...it is still bothering me. I guess it will never be pain free again. It will always remind me of that horrible day. One that I would never wish on anyone to go through!!!
Until next time...

My Story

I am generally a happy person, I like to watch NASCAR, collect BREYER horses, Snow Buddies Snowmen and play on my Computer.I am 53, and married 21 years to a great guy. I am reading as much as I can find here about gastric bypass surgery. I have been thinking it over now for a couple years and now I am so ready to go ahead with it. I am in Saginaw Michigan and would like to have it done as close to home as I can.
