Dr. Aceves was the kindest, gentlest man, so warm and caring. It just got better as each time he would come to check on you. His staff was just as kind, Dr. Campos, Sergio, Yolanda, Lucy, Ernesto, I hope I didn't forget anyone. All of them are so kind and caring. He emphazizes after care very much, met with us the night before surgery. again twice before we came home, Yolanda came in and talked with us. I would say both surgical competence and bedsided manner are very important and Dr. Aceves has both. I would recomend him to anyone. I was alone in Mexico, a little scared until I got to the hospital and met everyone there. Then I had no worries. If you want a referrence, let me know.

Hello, Thanks for viewing my profile. I had my surgery in Mexicali, Mexico. Great hospital, nice city, the best doctors and nurses. Treated like a queen and would do it again in a heartbeat.

2nd fill, definite restriction

I received my 2nd fill July 2, 2007, I am now at 2.2cc. I can definetely tell I am restricted. I had to do clear liquids for 4 days instead of just 2. I have to be careful and really chew, chew, chew. I can only eat about 1/3 cup. I wasn't losing before but now I have already lost 7 pounds since this fill, Yahoo!!

My first fill

I had my first fill 5.14.07. I had to go to Pocatello, I live in Kuna, to get my fill because I went to Mexico for my LB surgery. The nurse practicioner was very nice, very knowledgable. I received 1.5 cc. She usually only puts in 1 cc but I drank the water and could drink more so she added .5 cc more. So far so good. I have lost 36 pounds since the beginning, I am excited.

I had my surgery!!

I had my LB surgery 3/24/07 in Mexicali, Mexico and everything went great. Everyone was so right about how you are treated. Ernesto picked me up at the airport with 4 other gals. We were treated like Queen's and Dr. Aceves, Dr. Campos, Yolanda, Lucy, Sergio, and more were the best. They are the best doctors I have ever been too. I hope to go back for fills just so I can see them all again. I am on liquids for 2 weeks and it is tough, but I am somehow making it through. I can't wait till I came have regular food. Just a bite of normal, non liquid food.

My story

My story is alot like the one's I have read on this website. I have been heavy all my life, tried every diet out there from diet pills to weight watchers. I just can't see to keep it off. My neice had RNY last year and has done super, she has lost over a 100 lbs. She looks great. I want to do the same. I am self pay because my insurance won't cover it do to my employer!! I am looking to go to Mexico.
