Whoa...I think surgery may come sooner than later. WandaG and I finished all of our pre-op testing the same day last week.  As I previously wrote, I was going to give the clinic a call to see what to do next.  It was a busy week, and I didn't get around to it and maybe that's a good thing.  Wanda received a call that her surgery is slated for December 22!  Yikes...that's two weeks away!   Normally I'd be very envious that Wanda got the call and I didn't.  Of course I'd never decline the surgery, but if at all possible I'd rather have it after Christmas than 3 days before.  With my luck there would be complications and the thought of spending Christmas in a hospital isn't overly appealing to me.  And secondly...the Optifast diet.  Not that I've been on it...but I can imagine that only consuming Optifast for two weeks is rather hellish in itself....but having to do it over the Christmas holidays!!  OMG!!!  How can that even be possible??  There are so many Christmas gatherings and parties and of course all of them involve food and alcohol.....talk about a test of willpower.  But it may happen yet, unless my surgery date is after January 8th.   Time will tell.
