Feeling great!

Eight days after surgery and I am feeling so great......it is a little scary....I had no problems in the hospital and I did not have to take any pain meds at all when I got home. I think the hardest part of this surgery is the mind hunger...it is a painful thing.......well I have lost a total of 30 pounds since May 14th and I feel awesome.....I actually had some cottage cheese this morning with fresh tomatoe and balsamic vinegar.....I thought I died and went straight to heaven......thank you all for your prayers.....loving life!!!!

The big day!

Hi Everyone,

Today is the big day! I have to say that out of my two week liquid fast that I hated the bowel prep the worst! Other than that I am ready and I am excited and I could not have asked for a better roommate than Renee. It is funny how life can bring two people together. I met her on this website and then I find out she is having surgery with my doctor and then I find out it is the same day! We are roommates.....does not get any better than that and she has a positive attitude just like myself....she is a beautiful soul and I am very lucky! 

I have an awesome sister Jennifer who has been my rock and my support as well and I just love her so much.....

Day Ten of the liquid fast....

Okay day ten,,,,,,,I have lost ten pounds.....yipeee just five to go to get to my 200 pounds....I am so excited, and I have dropped two pant sizes..

My daughter's softball team set a new school record last night for the most wins in school history for a single season, so that was too cool and the last two games were very very nerve racking! They now move on to District's and I am just praying that they are doing this before I have surgery....

Five days left until my sugery and I am getting so excited and my nerves are taking me to a new level.....the good news is that all of my blood work came back excellent so that is very exciting...

Too cool.......

Well it is sunny and it is Sunday....I am so geeked..I stepped on the scale and I have lost eight pounds since my liquid fast began and my sugery friend who is my roomie ....she lost the same amount of weight.....it is amazing....life is good and only 11 more days.....I am off to go golfing with my son and then I get my grandson for the night........yesssss

I forgot to tell ya'll that I made reservations for my yearly trip to Maui and this time I will be staying for a month......and this time I will be thin and I won't have to worry about the airplane seat or my swim suit!!!!! I can't wait!!!! For all of you OH who live in Maui.....lets meet and have our own OH forum and celebrate each other success's.....

My Story

My story is that my entire family has struggled with weight loss for years.....because of this many of my relatives either have eating disorders, or they are so obsessed with how they look that reality sometimes does not come into play.  My grandmother died from her obesity and my mother will not leave her home and she continues to gain weight and she is severly depressed. I have an aunt who had RNY nine years ago and she is doing fine and looks great. l am very athletic. I golf, fish, hunt and enjoy every sport there is, but I continue to gain weight. I am tired of fighting this alone and I welcome my new tool...and pray that I made the right choice!
