HOLY Smokes - 2 months since my last post!
Well, I think I'm slacking here! I have my surgery date of July 11, 2008 AND I was approved TODAY by my insurance company. I received a personal phone call from one of the nurses as a courtesy call to let me know I was approved and to wish me luck. The great thing is that the doctor's office only put the request in on Friday, here it is Wednesday and I'm approved. The trip thus far has been nutty to say the least. My stress test was, well, stressful! YIKES how fast do they think my short legs will go? I was holding on for life cause I really thought I was going to fly off the treadmill like in those commercials. Could you imagine? LOL Now, I just have to start getting ready for the surgery. I have one pair of PJ's but I want to bring 2 pairs just incase icky stuff gets on one. Ok, maybe I should bring 3 pair? I have a bathrobe but I have to fix the buttons cause I'm missing a few. I figured I'd take the ones from the bottom and put them on the top. Sounds like a plan. I've been putting away all my winter clothes thinking, well I wont be wearing that next year. I put the stuff away anyway and will store it until next year. Then I can look at them and remember how I looked and THANK the good lord above that I decided to do this. I know it's the right thing to do. More to come as I get closer to the date and more nervous and excited. 1 Comment(s)

Hey girl~ I was just thinking about you today! I am so glad to hear that you got a surgery date! I actually wasn't even supposed to see the doc until July 22nd and they called me cause they knew my health has been poor.... very poor... but I got in to see him this week and got the diaticien and phyciciatrist or however you spell it... on July 1st!! So surgery maybe 6 weeks after that? I can't wait to get off of this prednisone! It keeps me breathing but it is just a nasty drug. I am so happy for you that your hard work has paid off and you are having a date finally set! GOOD JOB!!! Well I am going to try really hard to stay focused and supportive on this website.... So you will probably hear more from me. Take care hugs from across the nation.... t
