I'm 45 and have been married 17 years.† I have a daughter (20) who is attending University of North Texas and a son (16) who is a sophmore in high school.†
Growing up I was always a little heavier then others my age...not fat just chubby.† After having my second child my weight started going up.† I joined weight watchers for 1 1/2 years and lost 40 pounds, but gained it back and more.† After that I just did the yo-yo diet game.† I gained to my all time high weight of 265.† I decided to have RNY in 1999...my surgery was April 2000.
My weight loss was slow but with watching my diet and working out I got down to 143....maybe for a week.† My weight slowly started climbing.† By Oct 2004 I weight 183.† I found out I had a brain aneurysm and had brain surgery.† I was in and out of test for a year...I was supposed to have a stent put in Oct 2005 but the surgery was cancelled.† Instead I went for a mammogram.† I had breast cancer.† I want through chemo, lumpectomy, radiation and a year of followup infusion....finally finished Jan 2007.† No more cancer but went into early menopause.† I had very little activity during the last 2 1/2 years...was not allowed to do anything by my family and doctors.† So my weight skyrocketed.
